This bakery used to be top notch with excellent service and super tasty treats! Iāve been coming here weekly since it first opened and was pretty excited I found an awesome bakery to unwind before picking up my twins from school. Lately however, the bakery hasnāt been on itās A game. The pastries selections are always the bare minimum or completely empty and given the time I come in, which is around 2-3pm, it shouldnāt be this empty. Since Iāve been coming here, I have always had 2-3 baristas that were my favorite: super friendly, always a smile when greeted and eager to help. Now, I only see 1 of them and is hardly there. Speaking of the workers, I have no idea if this is the owner or not, but she is by far the rudest in bakery. Iāve encountered her many times and itās never the greatest service but gave her the benefit of the doubt. Today was different however. I have watched her give so much attitude and being so hostile while helping the customer before me and all she wanted was a coffee and cookie. I could tell by the facial expression by the customer she was very annoyed with the service. My turn was just as pleasant. sarcasm inserted I ordered a large ice tea and a focaccia slice. She rang me up before making my drink and I questioned the price out of curiosity because my total came out to $8. Not to my surprise, she answered me with completely attitude and was so rude like I was beneath her. As for my drink, it was filled with ice to the very top and barely any tea. The customer sitting down enjoying her iced tea had a decent amount of tea in her large cup. You be the judge.
I hope this bakery improves because I really enjoy coming here. If the lady is there working, I will definitely turn back around...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love this bakery! It ticks the boxes for food, atmosphere and prices. Love the baked goods. The Iris (ricotta ball) is a real crowd pleaser with its crunchy outside, subtle sweetness and the occasional surprise of chocolate in the middle. The strawberry Danish is a perfect blend of flavors and texture. The Nutella croissant is predictably indulgent (the regular croissant is a crescent roll more than a croissant, but this place is Italian, so it gets a pass). Lobster tails, cookies, all worth trying. The atmosphere is perfect. Crisp and clean and open with enough wood to make you think this place has been here for decades (it hasn't, but I think it'll last). Wide open, so it's easy to navigate with a whole family, stroller included. Surprisingly affordable. 3 pastries and a coffee for $13 yesterday. Worth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYesterday I went to go to the bakery to buy a box of pastries at 7:04pm and as I was a block away I saw a lady cone out with a few bags and when I got there a minute later they were closed yet they are supposed to be open until 7:30. If she is not the owner I hope they know she closed early. So I went back this morning and the selection was scarce! I specifically wanted rainbow cookies (as I saw they had on google photos) but they didnāt have any or much of anything for that matter. We would have settled for black and white cookies, almond cookies... Me and my kids were highly disappointed. The lady was of no help either and didnāt seem to care. I gave two stars as Oppose to one because the place was...
