Whoever owns this place needs to keep a check on their staff. I was here for a takeaway order on a Tuesday afternoon which is no rush hour. The guy standing near the billing counter and appears to be incharge, seems to be on a very high horse to come and take your order, showcasing he’s the boss by ordering the others to attend to you while he’s standing right in front of you! Pav bhaji is literally the most ordered dish here, and I’ve personally never seen it take more than 15mins from order to table. The whole staff was having a gala time trying to mock a few others on a break having fun as if it’s a college canteen (which is honestly none of my business!), until 20mins later I see orders of pav bhaji being served to customers who came in after me. The girl who took my order was happily chatting on a break, the boss man (I believe his name was Mridul or Mehul) was acting frantically in shock as if he didn’t know that I had even placed an order. Ultimately took them 35mins to just give me my takeaway order when I had to walk up to the billing counter and stand there for them to identify that my order didn’t even get to the kitchen. The girl who took my order cavalierly put the order on the docket and was enjoying her break, she didn’t seem to be bothered even when questioned by the boss man. While finally giving me the order the person seemed unsure and I asked him to double check if he’s got everything right ... boss man was just trying his best to be non-confrontational so I let it go.. only to realise that they had gotten the order wrong with some items missing when I got home. Will rethink before going to this...
Read moreIn the begining, when they opened, honest was disappointing for us, but boy they have bounced back. Food is to the point.... their dosas have some room for improvement, don't put ketchup on your schezwan dosa man! But everything else is good. Pav bhaji was not good in the begining, but I feel they are slowly finding their groove. My favourite is gobi manchurian dry and honest special sandwich. Also, management might want to work on some housekeeping issues. Sometimes these restaurants use old wiping cloth and tables and floor smells like mildew.
Update : a year later, honest is still doing pretty good. Food is still good, but now they have jacked up their prices. Their dosas are better, but they still fluctuate. Sometimes, dosas are too greasy. Service is ok. There is are server by the name Shweta.. she is very good. Honest should give her a raise. Other are alright. There is a lady manager who can can mellow down a tad... she yells across the room to her staff, specially on busy days. No one wants that when they going to a restaurant for a nice meal.
On colder days they need t operate both heaters. They only had one on and it was cold. Housekeeping is a lot better. Restroom is clean. Spoons and fork on the table can be cleaner. They need to work on that.
Tip - Masala pav is good. Indo- Chinese is decent but they skimp on portion size. Manchow soup is...
Read moreHeard a lot about this restaurant so decided to give it a try, the only good thing we had was the dosa, papdi chaat and dahi puri, the service was horrible,we didn't get plates, plastic 7ware or water, the food just left on the table and we had to keep on asking for plates etc. The menu on the table too was dirty even though it was carry out menus, they don't even bother changing it. When we got disposable plates there was a used plate too with the clean one. The veg Manchurian was burnt and horrible. Would not recommend this place.UPDATE back to this place after a while, the food is still pathetic, the pav bhaji was a waste, the triple schezwan fried rice had hardly any rice but was filled with noodles,I could have ordered noodles if I wanted too, well I wouldn’t be surprised if I ordered noodles and got fried rice instead, would not recommend this place. The restrooms are also so bad. Fresh tissue rolls have been kept exposed, using this as a place of storage. HOW IS THIS EVEN JUSTIFIED ?
Update: 08/02/23 - Ordered for a Dhai Puri and here’s what I got (puris, tomato and onion mix, curd, sev and potatoes mashed) May I know where’s the Tamrind and the Mint chutney ? How can your staff miss out on such crucial ingredients to a chaat ?
HONEST YOU’RE been SUPER DISHONEST WITH...
