Came for a date for dinner tonight cause we both agreed on Asian/sushi.
Food was okay, and just okay. Not even that great, really. Usually I do not eat at, and I recommend that people not eat at, restaurants that say they are Thai-Japanese-Asian-mix whatever. The food tends to be subpar as they aren't concentrating their efforts into one cuisine. So needless to say, I have certainly had better and more flavorful sushi. The carrots as a side veggie in my dish were weirdly flavored, almost tasting chemically.
But the meat of my review is about the service. Unfriendly non-smiling waiter who seemed annoyed with his job and was gruff. Bento boxes are not served as a dinner option, only lunch, which is weird. But worse, everything was served in plastic containers and on paper plates with plastic cutlery. I did not get a clear answer when I asked if this was due to paranoia around the pandemic. I suppose it makes sense as a safety precaution, but when tons of other restaurants are just washing dishes as normal and would be killing the virus anyways through washing, this presentation was not at all nice. Their bathroom was also closed and thankfully the staff at the bar next door who were actually friendly let me in to use their restroom. I suppose it wasn't a mystery that there weren't many outdoor tables filled when we arrived at this Asian...
Read moreCame into the restaurant with my service dog. The lady at the front immediately snapped at me about not allowing dogs inside (when the sign very clearly says service dogs allowed). I proceeded to tell her it’s a service dog and she questioned me with a very surprised look as I do not look disabled. I said yes service dog, to which she responded “only blind people service dogs” verbatim. I was shocked. I honestly have never had such a rude and offensive situation with a staff member anywhere. I tried to look past the rude and disrespectful comment and after showing her my dogs papers she sat me down in the corner. I have an allergy to rice so I asked if they could make the pad thai with other noodles that are wheat based (since it originally comes with rice noodles). She said no it’s not possible. I then told her I have an allergy and would like different noodles to which she said no it wouldn’t taste good it’s made with rice noddles for a reason. I told her I didn’t mind the different noodles and the taste would be okay for me and she still wouldn’t let me order. I got up and walked out of there. Such horrible service, do...
Read moreI have to give low stars since the food here is high in price and low in quality. 👎🏻
In short, the amount and quality is so little and how you dare to set the price like that?😡
The fried rice is charged 💲18 but the amount is just more than 1 bow. Actually we have already ordered the HAN NAN chicken and there are 2 bows of free rice with it. Why don't u just tell us that when we were ordering the fried rice? Do you know how it feel like when the desk has 3 bows of rice?
The Bak Kut Teh is just a disaster. It tastes totally different from normal Bak Kut Teh. I have the right to say that since I had lots of Bak Kut Teh in Singapore. The Baksingapore Kut Teh here is using pork belly instad of using pork short libs, which is just cheating and joking. Can you imagine a Bak Kut Teh without pork lib and totally tastes like normal pork soup? 😜
I won't come again and don't encourage any one try it since the you can't feel any love💖 and heart💔 from any food🍖 here.
Also be careful about any non-Japans Asia restaurants that serves sushi🍣 and rolls🍥, normally that means they want to serve everything but just can't make the basic...
