Wendy's — Restaurant in Jonesborough

Surprised at our first visit today. 2:30 pm so we got fast service when we went inside. Not too surprising since the fries had been ready for a while. We considered asking for fresh ones but with the size of the sandwiches, we figured we wouldn't eat that many anyway.

The sandwiches were okay, which is what we expected. My baconater was hot and fresh but hubby's chicken sandwich was hot-adjacent at best.

The man who took our order forgot to give us our beverage cups so I waited back in line so we could get them before our food was up. He handed them to me palmed across the drinking surface, so there's definitely some training needed here. When I saw him serving up fries onto trays, he was also holding those containers by the top, thumb inside against the food/food surface and fingers outside.

The beverage station, dining room tables and floor all needed attention from at least one of the 9 employees we could see behind the counter.

$26.26 for two regular-size combo meals. We had to try it, but it's not likely...

This is like a 2025 dystopian Wendy's Cafe. Whoever opened this thought way too simple for the growing area and demand. It's cute without much functionality. An AI takes orders now, which I personally don't like. It feels dehumanizing. They're clearly trying to be cheap. It has one window. Learn from other establishments (Chick-fil-A) who have added more windows and parking. I love Wendy's as fast food. This is terrible. I want to support local businesses. I can't with this. I've pulled up when it's slow. You wait a minimum 10-15 minutes with hardly anyone there. I could understand more if it was hot and fresh, but it's not. I think some of the employees are trying their best. The thing is it's too small. I haven't went in, but there's maybe 6-8 tables inside... half the size of a regular Wendy's. Like I said... I would've opened this as a Wendy's Cafe...

Don't bother!!!! Ordered 2 double stacks, only wanted mayo, lettuce, and cheese on them. One had onions, Ketchup, and pickle added, the other had onions and Ketchup and no pickle added.....they were only suppose to have mayo, lettuce, and cheese.

Ordered 2 regular baconator sandwiches as well, one had only meat and cheese, no bacon and the other one had meat, cheese, and 1 small slice of bacon.

Seriously for $9 per sandwich that's what you give to your customers. What a joke....all 4 sandwiches were wrong.....but not only wrong, they were all wrong differently, not even consistent screw ups.

On top of that, I was the only one in line, no one behind me and they had me pull forward to wait 6 minutes for the 4 burgers they were inadvertently screwing up to give me.

Just to say, will not be going back to this location...
