I just came from Del Pesto located next to Cinepolis at the Shoppes at Jupiter. I have to say that it was the best Italian Food I have had since moving to South Florida 10 years ago from NY/NJ and just as good (if not better) as any Italian restaurant I have gone to back home. I saw the restaurant being worked on when I went to the movies a few times and finally had a chance to go tonight with my family for dinner. The atmosphere was a combination of modern and classic making you feel welcome and ready to eat.
We started with the Bruschetta which was extremely tasty and refreshing. We had to fight over the last piece on the plate. Eager to try the entrees, we decided not to order more appetizers and dug right in. We ordered several dishes which I will do my best to describe, but even my explanation would not do the flavor justice. Overall, the portions were extremely generous and enough to take some home should you not be able to finish it. My wife and I ended up sharing two dishes. We ordered one of the signature dishes called the Velentina which was Jumbo Shrimp sauteed in a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce over fettuccine and ordered my favorite dish which I order everywhere, Veal Parmesan. We cleaned the plate of the Valentina as we did not want to leave a single bite behind and we ate as much of the Veal as we could but ended up taking some home. Both were absolutely delicious exploding with flavors that I'll say again, I have not had in 10 years. My father ordered the Veal Marsala and even though the portion was large, he could not leave a bite behind. He is super critical of Italian food and could not stop saying how amazing his food was. My daughter ordered a kids pepperoni pizza and enjoyed hers as well.
Even though we were extremely full, we had to try the deserts and order several to share. We shared the Cheesecake, Cannoli Chips & Dip and chocolate Gelato. All were extremely delicious but the Cannoli Chips & Dip was to die for and I fully expect to order that every time I go back.
With that said, I can say with 100% certainty that I have finally found my neighborhood Italian restaurant and highly recommend...
Read moreVisited on a quiet Saturday afternoon shortly after the place opened for business. Nicely decorated and modern, clean and appealing. Fare is classic Italian and pizza. Rigatoni Bolognese was very well prepared, fresh and flavorful. Also served at my table was the cheese ravioli, which also got high marks. The sauce was tasty and not too greasy. Didn't try the pizza, but considering the quality of the baked pasta, I'm hopeful it's going to be on par or better than the offerings in Jupiter. Wait staff was very attentive and pleasant, with the qualification that the place was very slow during the visit. Please try the cannoli dip for dessert, it was a creative way to end the meal. Prices were in line with better restaurants in the Jupiter area, so if you're looking for Dominoes cheap, go elsewhere. A nice place for Italian, and if you pair it with a movie a few doors down you have a very...
Read moreSo I have ordered Pizza from Del Pesto before an it has been great, but today I thought I would try something new from them. Well that was a mistake. I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and Bruschetta.
First the Bruschetta was cold Ice cold, which made the bread soggy and just not editable. It seem like they were pre-made and stored in the fridge for a while.
Second the Bolognese, lets be honest this was basically Rigatoni with meat sauce. Which is in part what Bolognese is, but it id much more. It has fresh cream and cheese, and is smooth. The sauce in this tasted like a jar of store bought spaghetti sauce with extra meat.
Overall I think in the future I will stick to order Pizza that is something they do well. Hopefully the team at De Pesto will read this review and rethink how they prepare their none...
