I’ll start with the ambiance, very beautiful and nicely appointed, great atmosphere. Our waitress and manager Justin were wonderful and overly accommodating. I enjoy fine dining, for the prices charged the food was most disappointing. We had a party of 6, 2 ordered the steak and frites. Both steaks were cold, 1 sent back to be reheated. The other steak was so cold that the butter on top of it literally never melted, both were tasty. 1 person ordered the short rib with risotto and a baked potato, both were cold. They came out on hot plates but the food itself was cold. They had to be sent back twice. The baked potato alone was over $20 which is completely and utterly outrageous. We were astonished that they couldn’t even get a baked potato hot. 2 of us ordered the lobster bucatini, it was swimming in sauce, the sauce tasted awful and the lobster was chewy. At around $55 this was a huge disappointment and I would not recommend the dish. I typically love this dish and order it out regularly and this is the first time I have ever had to send it back because I was unable to eat it. They replaced it with crab cakes, they were difficult to taste as they were smothered in sauce. The sauce should be served on the side, poor judgement on the chef’s part. At this point we refrained from saying anything as we were too embarrassed to complain again! The manager brought us over complimentary soup du du jour (while we waited for the crab cakes) which was a creamy sweet potato with chorizo, it was not very warm and too thick, we did not like the taste. The manager also brought us the deviled eggs, and the humus. The deviled eggs were delicious but the hummus had a strange taste. 2 of us ordered cosmos, they were cloudy and very tart, we sent them back and they were replaced with the same, we wanted a traditional cosmo which is easy enough to make. We switched to wine which was nice, however on our second glass the waitress mixed the wines and served us the wrong glass. Once again we didn’t say anything as we felt terrible and did not want to complain once again. The staff was wonderful and went above and beyond. The issue is your kitchen! Quite simply the food is not good, you cannot expect to charge high prices and serve mediocre cold food. We are all world travelers and enjoy fine dining and exquisite food, It is doubtful that we will return and certainly could...
Read moreThis was my 3rd time dining at Jupiter Grill and I can't say I will ever be back.
Our appetizers arrived before our cocktails. I asked about GF bread or crackers for the whipped feta, and my server simply said "No" - didn't even offer any alternatives until I pressed and asked for vegetables or anything I could use instead of bread. I asked about the ingredients of the Tuna Poke and the server pointed to the menu and then read me the ingredients as if I could not read myself. Only after asking again, "what's in it" did she say, oh soy sauce! I said, can I just have it without the sauce? and she said, well, then it will be just tuna (which it wasn't - it had avocado and a few other ingredients, and its NOT spicy - my friend ordered it)
My other friend's steak was ordered medium-rare and it arrived well-done. The lobster was served in the shell and it was mushy. We ordered 2 sides - mushrooms and creamed spinach that never arrived and we just realized we were charged for! Our server took our friend's wine order and then never asked us if we wanted a second cocktail when our glasses were empty.
A waiter dropped a dutch oven on the floor as it was being served - made a mess, probably burned him and made a loud crash. They need food runners instead of large trays! We felt so badly for this gentleman!
Dorne was very gracious and comped one round of cocktails, which was thoughtful. However, that honestly does not excuse anything that occurred, and this was on a Wednesday evening, not even a busier weekend night. Jupiter Grill needs better management and training of their waitstaff and kitchen. They charge way too much money for a disappointing...
Read moreI just left the Grill and feel very unsatisfied and extremely disappointed. I don’t normally write reviews but I felt compelled after tonight’s meal. I too am in a service business and after living in Jupiter for over 18 years, I have never been so dissatisfied with both the food and management. I truly feel like I overpayed for our meal and overall dining experience. It was our first time dining here, we had made reservations weeks in advance, and were excited to try it. Our server touted the calamari appetizer, the filet mignon and porterhouse entrees; all of which we tried to order, only to be told that they were out of them all. The restaurant was marketed as a steakhouse, yet 3 out of the 6 steak items were not available. Our reservation was only 7:30 p.m on a Saturday night on Easter weekend. How could they already be out of the main “most popular” items? I then asked to speak with the Manager and was told he would come over, that never happened. We watched him walk from table to table and ask how their meals were - yet no one (besides our server) was attentive to our concerns at all. Our server did pay for our dessert which was a nice gesture, however, I would have appreciated management attempting to rectify the situation instead of blatantly avoiding us when we asked to speak with him and were told he would come over. Overall, for the enormous price tag we paid, the food was just mediocre, not worth it, and we won’t be back. I will not recommend this restaurant to any of my...
