I'm really upset about my meal. I ordered butter chicken for takeout and it didn't come with rice or naan, which was unexpected and I'm irritated the guy didn't tell me so I could have ordered some to go with. Unless he just forgot it. Then when I took a bite of the food, I was hit by an overwhelming taste of mango powder. It tastes like they dumped a cup of mango powder in it; the flavor is wildly out of place and overpowering and ruined any other seasoning in it. What made me even more upset is that I've been overwhelmed by mango powder like this before; I recognize the taste. It's from a jar! I bought this exact flavor at Hen House or something before in one of those pouches or jars; Sharwood's or Maya Kaimal or something. I had the exact same reaction to the mango powder.
If it'd been made from scratch in the store, the taste was vile enough I would have asked for a refund if I hadn't gotten takeout. There's so much mango powder it's inedible. Actually I wouldn't have ordered it at all because it didn't come with rice. But on top of that, since it didn't come with rice or naan, I paid $15 for a jar of premade food. If I wanted premade food, I would have bought some for much less because I was in an Indian grocery store. And I would have picked a brand I liked. Instead of paying less money for something that actually tasted good in the frozen section, I wasted $15 on a jar of stuff I've tried before and hated. And because I got food at the restaurant instead, I don't have anything for dinner. I'm so irritated about that and the lack of clarity on what's included but mostly about the...

OMG! I love authentic foods in places like this. Chain restaurant eaters... You don't know what you're missing!
FOOD: Large portion and so yummy (photo doesn't accurately represent the size). I don't even know what I got! Ha! Pretty certain it was Butter Chicken, mild (which was still pretty spicy), with yogurt sauce, naan, and bottled water. I couldn't stay long, so I had my food put in a to-go container, but ate on-site. 5⭐
SERVICE: Very kind, friendly, and all were smiling 😊
ATMOSPHERE: Neighborhood ethnic grocery store with little cafe and tables. (Enjoy strolling the grocery aisles while you wait for your order) 👍🤩
A wide variety of people come and go.
PARKING: Plenty of parking for large motorcoach on the street behind the store. 5⭐
Third Visit / Second Review: Visited during weeknight. Different cooks.
Goat Curry was super salty for my taste and it had boney shards. (But perhaps this is the way it's traditionally served?)
Butter chicken was very liquidy and had less chicken. Burnt naan (more than normal), no yogurt sauce, or water (for combo meal).
Not such a great experience. That's too bad.
I'll check again (@ another day) if daytime is a better experience.

Fourth visit! 5🌟
Busy lunch with lots of locals. I'm happy for them! 👍
So yummy!
They offered a sample of chai tea and Methi dosa while I waited for my order. I know what I will be ordering...
Read moreIndian restaurant. Fresh food in the morning and afternoon. Leftover in the evening and night time. They can do better. Chai tea is one of the best tea I had here. Kitchen service is little slow and the guys taking order at the kitchen counter need to pay more attention to what Customers wants. Language and accent problem due to Asian restaurants culture. But the food is not bad. Place is good to visit and spend time during morning and afternoon. Evening and night time little sketchy due to homeless guys hanging around the parking area in the dark. Little scary but not so dangerous. I like to visit their place every time I get a chance. From food to liquor or grocery, they had...
