Nekter Juice Bar — Restaurant in Kansas City

Well played, folks at nékter, well played. Two thumbs up, 5 stars, blue ribbon, 1st place trophy... however one needs to determine an absolute "winner", Nékter takes the cake, errrrr 'bowl' is maybe better suited word here. Given that I don't see or know of too many places for these tasty acai (or whatever combo of fruits, vegetables, and/or super foods you can conjure up) bowls, juices, and smoothies, this business hits the nail on the head. Time living in Portland brought me much knowledge and a vast array of people who made them to perfection and this feels exactly the same, if not even better. I had the dragon fruit bowl while my friend had the first acai bowl option, add peanut butter (protein). Both were incredible, but if you love peanut butter, I would suggest a double serving in whatever bowl you get. That's my angle on the next go round, 100%.

The atmosphere was tranquil, as it was 815a when we arrived, on a Saturday. People still recuperating from the festivities from last night. Well people look no further. Mother nature will have you feeling 100 in no time! But the setting was perfect for even the most crowded of establishments.

Oh, and nice work on the spotlight placement for the sun on the palm tree picture! What a gem of a touch!

I want to preface this review with support for the employee who served us tonight. He did what he could when staffed by himself. That being said, it took nearly an hour for us to receive our bowls. The location was out of spoons so we had to take our bowls home to eat them. As we got in the car I noticed that the bowls for my wife and daughter were 3/4 melted and were nearly completely melted by the time we got home (5 min drive). My bowl was 100% melted when I got in the car and all of the ingredients had sunk to the bottom. I am now currently waiting for my bowl to refreeze in my freezer so that I may be able to attempt to eat it tomorrow at some point. I have added a photo of the PB&J bowl that I was given. I really like the product but $50 for an hour long wait and melted product is a bit excessive. I in no way blame the employee, he was clearly overwhelmed and left alone to handle a Sunday evening rush. The employee did what he could and was nice enough to come outside to personally deliver our bowls to us. I would highly suggest figuring out the staffing issues so this does not happen to anyone else looking for a relaxing time...

We walked out and left our $50 worth of bowls untouched because they were so just disgusting.

What we received were watered-down smoothies, falsely advertised as açaí bowls. When we asked why they looked nothing like açaí, we were bluntly told, “they aren’t actual açaí bowls, they are more like smoothies.” Bunch of other fruit mixed into the base and wateree down with yogurt-like tasting liquid — and Charged at a higher price than an actual açai bowl. This is outrageous, especially given their separate açaí bowl and smoothie menus, plus an "AÇAÍ BOWLS" sign plastered across their front window.

We asked for a refund, and the girl at the counter called her manager, who then called their GM. The GM outright refused “putting her foot down” and saying "no" to any kind of resolution. No offer to remake the bowls, no gift card—nothing. We left our bowls on the counter, untouched.

Their customer service is a complete joke. Very unusual for Nektr as I go quiet often...
