I am not one to make reviews. But I have to share this experience. On Sunday, August 21st around 5pm myself and my older sister met up with a group of friends there for a 21st birthday celebration. We didn’t know that it was going to end up so horrible. The waitress we had accused us of not making a reservation along with the other guests dining there that day, which it why it was so busy and had slow service. With that being said every other table this waitress tended to received they’re drinks, food and tickets before us though they were seated after us. The waitress also made sure to laugh and joke with these other groups of guests as well as check up on them plenty of times. Meanwhile it took twenty to thirty minutes between each visit of this waitress. She told my sister that the straws are at the bar when she asked for some. I was told that the waitress would personally have to brew tea in order for her to fill my drink request, which I changed to a Sprite after feeling guilty of her completing her job. We did speak to the manager, who apologized and promised a free meal for my sister because she canceled it due to the waitress singling her out more and being much ruder to her. He also promised a “couple gifts cards to return”. He spoke with the waitress and said he’d return to the table but never did. The waitress returned to “apologize” but continuously undermined what I and my sister were saying on behalf of our group. She kept claiming she didn’t know what she did, thought we JUST told her. She said, “I’m sorry I guess.” I proposed just leaving the establishment without paying because one we felt stupid sitting there for 20+ more minutes after being treated so poorly. But no. The birthday girl left $50 as well as my other friend leaving $20 on the table, then we walked out. That $70 should NOT have been left and I can guarantee that waitress took it for herself and said we didn’t pay at all. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I have and will continue to share this story. There are many other great places to eat in the Power and Light. No Other Pub is like no other restaurant. I feel like a Karen, but I hope no one else goes there with this...
Read moreI heard you guys were a friendly environment with great food so, when I received my voucher from the class action settlement. I figured I would come to your restaurant for service. The hostess were very friendly and immediately got us seated. Our waiter came over to take our order and I showed her my voucher , she went and brought over the manager who requested to see my ID which I complied. Then he asked to see my wifes ID. That's when I questioned him, why you needed to see her ID. The voucher was in my name. He went on about how this was the first time he's seen this and he's never done one of these transactions before. We explained to him it was for $113.00 and the two of us were not going to use the total amount. He immediately responded that we had to use the complete voucher. When we gave him a push back to his reply, he said he had to call his district manager because he had never done one before. So we waited, after about 25 minutes I got up and asked our server where the manager was. She didn't seem to know so we waited another 20 minutes or longer to no avail. The manager never returned with an explanation. I felt like he ghosted us, as a matter of fact that is just what he did. He figured soon or later we would get up and leave which we did. YOUR ESTABLISHMENT REFUSED TO SERVED US SINCE WE WEREN'T GOING TO SPEND IT ALL AT YOUR PUB. THAT'S BAD BUSINESS, SAD BUSINESS.
Fast forward two weeks later, the Manager Justin McCord reach out to me regarding my experience. I must say at first I had my doubts and thought he was just doing this for publicly sake. However, my wife said to give him and (No Other Pub) the benefit of the doubt. I'm so glad that I did, Justin was superb in making sure we were taken care of. I'm a firm believer when you build relations, you build trust and when you built trust your build results. The Food was delicious, our server was great and most of all we'll be coming back, not to mention telling our friends about the wonderful time we had. Thank you, Justin and the staff at No Other Pub....
Read moreCame here to watch a SKC game thinking since it is “by SKC” and called No Other Pub with the Sporting KC branding they would be focused on the SKC game that night. I was very wrong. We walked in about 10 minutes after the game started and there was music blaring more akin to a dance club than a pub focused on soccer. We wanted to sit at a table in front of the large screen with the game on which there were plenty available but they all had signs saying “please see host for seating” there was no host to be found. Finally I found an employee who said we were welcome to sit anywhere so we did, he came back at around 9:55 and said sorry the kitchen was closed at 10 so there was no food but we could order drinks and they would send someone over, after no one came over I just went to the bar. I ordered a draft and asked if they had any Quirk from Boulevard and was told “sorry, we’re out”. This iKansas City bar, representing a Kansas City sports team is out of a reasonably popular Kansas City drink at 10pm on a Saturday night. It felt more like they were out because they just didn’t care enough to have it in stock. The whole place just felt this way. No sound for the game, just really loud music for no real apparent reason as nobody was dancing, they were all doing other things.
I went for a couple years to a soccer pub in Houston called Pitch 25, I expected this place to be remotely similar but if there wasn’t a large screen with the game on and the SKC branding on here you couldn’t have anything less similar. I can fully see why apparently virtually nobody watches soccer games here.
I wanted this place to be...
