Went to Johnny's Tavern on lunch break with co-worker. I ordered the fish & chips. The fries were cold and when I mentioned it to the waitress, I was ignored. When she stopped by the table again to ask how everything was I again mentioned the cold fries and again she walks away. By this time I have eaten most of my fish. She returns to the table with our ticket and a brown bag and tells me, " here are your hot fries". I was hoping to have the hot fries with my fish. The waitress validated the parking ticket for my co-worker, but picked up the ticket along with her tip. When my co-worker asked about it she was told it was probably thrown in the trash, and due to health issues they aren't allowed to look in the trash. My co-worker stated she would look through the trash, because she needs to get her car from the garage. The woman stormed off and sent the manager, Samantha Peterson over. The manager was rude and told us there was nothing she could do about it and that it could be in any of the 5 trash cans they have there. She then turned and walked away, stating have a nice day. The waitress who picked up the ticket with her tip wouldn't even come out so that we could ask her about the ticket and the manager never asked her about it. The cost to get the car from the garage was $30, which is insane considering we were there for less than an hour and, especially when it was clearly the waitresses fault for picking up the ticket in the first place. I'm sure she has seen several parking lot tickets and knew she should have brought it back to the table.
So I see the owner is not taking responsibility for the server who picked up the parking ticket that was sitting atop the tip. Had she waited until we were gone to collect the tip the ticket would have been picked up by one of us that were dining. It was disrespectful to collect the tip while we were still there. I am sure you guys see hundreds of parking tickets a week and are well aware of what one looks like seeing as you validate guest tickets. She had to have known she picked it up, because she had to see it when she was was putting that tip in her pocket. The tips she clearly...
Read moreMy experience here has never been that great, and last night was the final straw for me. Johnny's tavern is usually where my boyfriend and I go before shows at the Sprint Center. Their drinks and food are good and so are the prices. Well, last night, we wanted to eat and have a couple drinks before Celine Dion. We got there around 4:30 because we knew it would fill up fast, and it DID. We were there maybe 20 minutes and then people started pouring in, and they were on a wait fairly quickly. I understand that it happens. Especially at a popular place near the Sprint Center. But from that point, our server treated us like she was trying to push us out the door. We had only been there 20 minutes, had JUST gotten our food, and she walks over, slams our ticket down and then we never saw her again after that. Like I said, we had just gotten our food at that point, and I wanted to order another drink, and I was out of water, but she never came back to check on us until she saw a debit card on the table. I tried to flag her down, and so did my boyfriend, she ignored me and walked right past me even though she was 2 feet away and I knew she could hear me. "Excuse me, excuse me, miss... EXCUSE ME MISS?" and she kept walking right by. So we just laid the card down on the receipt then she immediately came over, ran the card, and we left to go get drinks at a different bar a couple doors down. I felt completely ignored the whole time we were there. And felt rushed out the door. We were only there for 45 minutes total, from the time we sat down and ordered our food, to the time we paid our tab and left. They don't value the people sitting at the table, they just try to turn tables and make as much money as possible with minimum service. It's a terrible experience. I won't be back. I'll just go to the Dubliner from now on. I actually get decent...
Read moreListen…we tried. It’s a neat place & maybe they were just off their game and our server (Maricela) was just having a bad night but she hardly helped, or came to the table or even wanted to be there & when asked if we had questions, God forbid I actually did ask about a size of a side wedge salad vs whole. Even after bringing it out I thought it was big, when she came to pick up our food she assured me it was a side. Guess side and full are same price because we were definitely charged for a full. Whatever. Oh also I understand flys and bugs happen, especially in salads but imagine my shock when I saw a little fly on the very top of one of the wedges (I didn’t even touch until I turned the plate to give to her, because again such a big salad). Gross. I was like Oo maybe mention to kitchen staff to just be extra careful next time. Didn’t ask for money back, but you’d think she’d change it. Especially after then seeing it was the wrong thing to begin with. Really frustrated me.
Fries were also cold.
I tried. & I hate leaving bad reviews but like, they gotta know to fix things….🤷♀️ & no one here currently seems to care.
Let me add, we were nice the whole way through even after standing there at the door for awhile at hostess station only to finally ask if we just seat ourselves. Getting our drinks mixed up & no silverware at first.
Fun times....
