This is my first time at Meet Fresh and may just be my last :( I came on Thursday around 2pm. When I walked in the shop, the cashier (an Asian lady) neither acknowledged nor greeted me. I assumed she was busy but she immediately striked up a conversation with a customer who walked in right after me that she seems familiar with. I ordered the Icy Taro Ball signature and it was very underwhelming. The ice was like those refrigerator crushed ice, not the smooth Korean style shaved ice I was expecting. I cannot fully comment on this as this may be Meet Freshās style of shaved ice, but it truly felt like I paid almost $10 for a bowl of ice and sugar that may as well come from my fridge... Still, I thought it was a nice first experience up until this point. When I finished the dessert, I left the bowl on the table to my mistake because it was my first time there. The same cashier looked at me as I walked out and said āExcuse me, put it over thereā and pointed at the direction of the kitchen. I then quickly apologized, went to pick up my bowl, and walked over to the kitchen counter where I saw other old trays. When I placed it down, the cashier again said āNo! Over there!ā And pointed in the same direction. The cashier couldāve gone over to show me or helped me put it away, but instead, she just stood there with her friend and stared at me. I later figured out that it was a different side of the kitchen. I paid tip with my meal just so that I could get ignored by the workers, go get my own food, and then get scolded by them. I know everyone have their bad days but it makes me feel sad to have been treated like another inconvenience in their shop when I am a customer. Hope you can retrain your staff to have more courtesy, as not everyone will be familiar with the shopās layout as the people...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOh, where do I even begin with Meet Fresh? This place is an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted(byJoanna) with the most friendly and inviting atmosphere. The decor was charming, creating a cozy ambiance that made me want to stay for hours.
Now, let's talk about the boba drinks. Oh my goodness, they are heavenly! Meet Fresh truly knows how to make the perfect boba concoction. The boba is always cooked to perfection, maintaining that delightful chewy texture that boba lovers like myself crave. The variety of flavors is mind-blowing; they have everything from classic milk tea to creative and unique blends that I never even knew I needed in my life.
One thing I must commend them on is the quality of their ingredients. You can tell they use only the freshest and highest-quality teas and syrups, making each drink a delightful treat for the taste buds. And if you're into customizing your drinks, they're more than happy to accommodate your preferences, which is a huge plus for me.
The staff at Meet Fresh is simply fantastic. They're not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about their drinks. Joanna, in particular, stood out with her warm smile and genuine enthusiasm for boba. She recommended a drink based on my taste preferences, and it was spot on! It's evident that she is passionate about what she does, and that passion shines through in every sip. I believe without a doubt that Joanna should be given a bonus plus a raise for her outstanding...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've eaten at Meet Fresh multiple times at other locations and it's usually great. Today I went in for some shaved ice.
I was the only customer there aside from one group that'd already been served. I ordered a matcha shaved ice--it even shows correctly on the receipt--but received a brown sugar boba shaved ice instead. I'd already left so I thought whatever, it's still good, and the flavor and all the boba, pudding, etc., was great. BUT the shaved ice itself was...barely edible. It froze into a chunk that I couldn't even break with my teeth. I can only assume the girl making it had used old ice or something, but I've been waiting for 20 minutes in the Texas summer heat and it just will not come apart.
I am Chinese and get Chinese shaved ice because it's usually smoother and better-tasing than cheap Hawaiian ice with syrup. But I'd take syrupy, rough ice over this iceberg floating in condensed milk.
Great place overall. Good desserts, pretty good at fusing authenticity and modernity. This was simply one bad experience caused by an...
