It’s giving racism: Went here with a couple of friends from out of town and did not have a pleasant time. The customer service was absolutely horrible. When they were bringing food to the table, they were just dropping it anywhere. One of the waiters brought my food to the wrong table. When I told him it was mine he said let me go and confirm that after the table he left it at said it wasn’t theirs. As if I was a liar. If I were to have asked for something, they would bring it to the table and leave it with somebody who didn’t ask for it. We were there all of 20 minutes. The food was absolutely bland and not good at all. I took about two bites out of my food and so did my friends we all ordered different things and we did not like it. It was not palatable. And I can eat anything but I could not eat that. We let the one of the waiters know because there are multiple waiters coming to our table did not feel personal at all. We also let the manager know in the most respectful way possible (didn’t want to be the stereotypical, angry, black person) and he said well what do you want me to do about it? I was shocked. He started whispering to my friend who was offering to pay for us and I said hey we all have money here too, and we’re all customers as well. You can talk to us as well. None of us like our food my friend spoke up as well. He didn’t like his food and neither did my other friend like their food and he was like well you still need to pay. I hate to be the person that pulls the race card, but it definitely felt like we were not wanted there. He was assuming that we didn’t have money which he didn’t even try to hide. We asked if we can order something else on the menu because this was not it and we asked for recommendations and he basically told us that all the food is used at the same base and it all taste the same and he made it very apparent of wanting to get us out and make us leave then to accommodate us and again nobody yelled. Nobody raise their voice. We’re speaking in a very respectful manner and it just felt like we weren’t wanted. The waiters were not helpful and we were the only Black people in there. It was a very hurtful feeling because I do like the area and I’ve just never experienced service like...
Read moreThis place is fantastic. I stopped by for lunch today as I wanted to try a new place in KAT. (Katy Asia Town) I drove by this place and the windows pictures drew me in. When I first walked in, this place was soooo cute! I loved all the bright vibrant colors and it was very clean. I was seated immediately and got the spicy edamame and Bun Bo Hue or Spicy Beef noodle. WOW so tasty. First off, never had grilled edamame. I was skeptical but the smoky grill with the blend of spices brought out amazing flavors. It was a nice little appetizer to start the meal. The Bun Bo Hue was big portion, flavorful, and loved the extra cuts of meat on the side. You also get a huge plate of bean sprouts, jalapeños, limes, and cabbage! The broth was soooo flavorful I could drink it all day every day. Yes, a lot of the bad reviews are the food was too hot. Yes my food was pretty hot (temp wise) but why would you complain about that??!?!? Just blow on it and enjoy the great flavors. The service was fast, friendly, and very attentive. I was always swiftly taken care of and didnt have to ask for a thing. I also loved I got the full can of coke with a separate ice! A small touch a lot of restaurants don't think about. A lot of restaurants fill the cup with ice and either give an under portioned pour or half the can! With the food, atmosphere, and great service I highly recommend this place and will be coming back! Side note: If I had to list a criticism it would be the Bun Bo Hue didn't have pigs blood. However, I'm not upset about it. Any asian place I go to always ask if I want pigs blood and get suspicious when I say yes lol. Just wanted to note it but absolutely didn't...
Read moreThis is an amazing place for any family meals. This place offers so many options and a blend between Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine. The atmosphere is awesome, it's always crowded but we got seated and got menus in hands very quickly. The service is great, a bit slower to take your order because they want to make sure your order is correct since they are always crowded. They typically check up on you for water and napkins without being over attentive. The food is super quality and cooked to my taste. I've been to many Vietnamese restaurants and this place always makes the most consistent food and taste you can get. The egg rolls are piping hot. It's crunchy and packed with fillings. Not a lot of shell. The rice plate has plenty of rice and the toppings are well seasoned. The fish sauce is sweet and salty not too overwhelmingly fishy. The wonton soup is light and each wonton has so much meat inside it's worth the money. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant if you ever go to...
