Ill start by saying I usually don't write reviews about places unless they really stand out to me. SUMMARY: There were only three people on staff when I walked in. Of course I thought it may be a little interesting to see how only three people can manage a nice place with just one cook essentially. I must say, these three really knocked my expectations 180. To elaborate. I'm a very picky eater, I usually only get one item from one burger place, and stick to it. But Kowbell seriously made me very genuinely smile with my first bites of both my burger and fries and really redefined what a GOOD gourmet burger was to me. THE FOOD: My choice of burger (holy shiitake) was excellently cooked with just the perfect amount of pink, very well seasoned, and oozed subtle truffle flavor without being overbearing or palate destroying like a certain chain of "smashed" burgers.. The fries in my opinion always make or break a place for me. I'm not sure how, but the one cook I saw going at it today was on his a game. The fries were thick cut but still somehow CRISPY, which is exactly what I'd imagine my perfect fry would be. The kimchi-ranchish sauce that accompanied the fries were very much the cherry on top, better than any other fry accommodating sauce I've ever had. CONCLUSION/TLDR: I came in as a curious, picky, and well seasoned burger eater. I left with the impression that if I could ever bring one restaurant to compete with the vast plethora of burger chains that scatter the country, Kowbell would definitely be my top contender. They check all the boxes, they have a great team, and I appreciate the enthusiasm of the owner, the fantastic cook, the amazing attention to flavorand detail, and the sweet and patient cashier who took my order. I will be back tomorrow during my lunch break for another round. Well done Kowbell!

A Culinary Crossroads: Kowbell Burger Marries Classic Americana with a Korean Twist Kowbell Burger presents a refreshing rendition of the quintessential American burger with an invigorating Korean twist that tantalizes the taste buds. Nestled in the heart of Katy, Texas, this eatery, helmed by the enterprising Korean American owner James, has swiftly captured the essence of fusion cuisine in a mere two months since its doors swung open. Upon entering Kowbell Burger, the aroma of sizzling patties mingles with the zesty tang of kimchi, setting the stage for a gastronomic adventure. The burgers, especially the 'Holy Shiitake' and 'Sweet Home Avocado', are a masterful symphony of flavors, showcasing a 6oz Signature Tri-Blend Angus Patty that's the heartbeat of each creation. The 'K-Town Cowboy' stands out with its kimchi jam and ssam sauce—a true homage to James's heritage. The 'Build-Your-Own' option is a canvas for creativity, allowing for a personal touch to the burger experience with an array of premium toppings and sauces, including the addictive Tiger sauce—a crowd favorite as per the communal voice. Kowbell doesn't just cater to carnivores. The option to substitute with a Beyond patty and a vegan bun is considerate, accommodating dietary restrictions with grace and ensuring inclusivity in this culinary haven. Service parallels the high quality of food, with attentive staff ensuring each visit is memorable. The ambiance, unassuming yet inviting, provides the perfect backdrop to savor each bite. In conclusion, Kowbell Burger is a gem in Katy's culinary crown, offering an experience that's both innovative and satisfying. It's a place where every visit promises new flavors to discover, making it a must-visit destination for locals and travelers alike. Rating: Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5

We wanted to grab a bite while grocery shopping at H-Mart in Katy Asian Town, we noticed that there is a new burger place…Yay! We’re always eager to try a new spot especially if it involves a burger…but a Fusion Korean Burger???? Yes, Please! The menu isn’t very big but it’s a burger joint…come on! I ordered the K-Town Burger while my husband got the Fire on the Mountain Burger. Both burgers are perfectly cooked…very nice and juicy just the way we like it. The K-Town Burger comes with American Cheese, Smoked Bacon, Kimchi Jam, and Ssam sauce. The sauce and kimchi jam was a nice touch, it’s not at all overwhelming but just enough to make you stop to think about it. It’s a little savory, sweet and a touch of umami. It’s very delicious, I highly recommend this one! My husband really enjoyed his Fire on the Mountain Burger as well. It comes with Pepper Jack Cheese, caramelized onions, Soy-Pickled Jalapenos and some really yummy sauce. The combination works really well both flavor and texture-wise. The onions and jalapenos add a nice sweet, savory and a little bit of a kick. I need a jar of that soy jalapeno though. We also got an order of their fries. Its thin crispy fries that are not overly cooked which is a plus…. get their special sauces because it’s excellent and compliments the fries very well. We really enjoyed our experience at this cozy little locally owned Burger spot. The food was delicious, the restaurant is clean, service was great…everyone is super nice, friendly and patient. We hear they’ve added Nashville Chicken Sandwich to the menu, we can’t wait to try that next. If you’re craving a Delicious, Juicy and perfectly cooked burger with a Korean twist…their GRAND OPENING day is tomorrow (Friday Dec 1).
