Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Kennewick

"By Health Code Standards you can eat this lettuce and it not make you sick, it's perfectly fine by the Board of Health standards"

This was the statement I had received from the Jimmy John's employee, when I called after the delivery was made to report that our lettuce on both of our sandwiches were rotted. I told him that that was unacceptable and that we were not going to eat or pay for rotted lettuce. Again, I was told by the employee that it was perfectly fine to eat and that it would not make us sick. He seemed to be more concerned with making sure that I knew that by health code standards it was acceptable to eat rather than my concern of why I am paying for lettuce that should have been thrown out rather than served to the public. We ended up having to throw our entire meal away and go out for a second meal. To the Employee's Credit he did refund our total for our meal. However there was no apologies made for our inconvenience. I asked to speak to the manager or have the manager give me a call back regarding this matter and I still have not received...

Delicious sandwich. Nice employees. Just taking off 1 star. There was one employee with long hair that was wearing a visor, but the hair was just spilling over it, you couldn't even tell there was a visor on at first. The hair was not long enough to pull back in a bun or anything. Maybe wear a net to protect the food. It took me by surprise. Also, offering upgrades without mentioning the extra cost should be stopped. If I ask for the original combo, that means I want just that.... Not a larger drink or cheese... It felt sneaky the way I was asked what size drink I wanted. If it comes with the 22oz, that's what I want. If I want larger, I will ask if I can get the larger drink and expect to be told it will cost more. Maybe it's a training strategy to make more money? But it felt sneaky. Otherwise, of course I will be back. I like Jimmy John's over the other sandwich places. But I appreciate honesty and I hope my review offers a constructive criticism, not a bashing. No hate... Just some of these things might not be...

Popped in to the Clearwater/Columbia Center Blvd shop around 10:10am without checking on the hours. Walked up to the door and gave it a wiggle…darn! Closed. The manager spotted me and quickly opened the door and explained they didn’t open til 11, but to come in and she would get me taken care of.

What she didn’t know is I was picking up a lunch tray for the Trios cancer treatment and infusion center. The staff at that hospital had treated my mom with such care we wanted to express our gratitude with a nice thank you card and some Jimmy John’s lunch on us.

This Jimmy John’s manager totally made my day. Sure, I would have sat there for 45 minutes and waited, but her cheer and kind hearted service was a rare example of what kind of people you may bump into around our community.
