We were passing through Kingman 2/18/23 so we ordered, and paid, ahead of time on the mobile app. When we got to the restaurant, at 9:27pm, we realized our vehicle was too large for the drive thru and the main lobby was closed. I tried to call the business to see if they would meet me at the front door. There were a handful of workers and a manager on site and nobody would answer the phone. We parked by the drive thru and I went up to speaker to attempt to talk to someone. Nobody would answer. This was perfect timing though, as a worker opened the back door to the kitchen. He told me he would let the staff know my order was ready and to stand in line, in between the cars, and wait for my order. Again it was 9:30pm and not exactly warm weather, but since we already paid, we waited.
By the time we got up to the window we saw the manager touching papers in the office and immediately go to the kitchen, put gloves on, touching multiple pairs. She didn't wash her hands and, assuming hand sanitation isn't only a Washington state law, she should have. They definitely saw us at the window but did not acknowledge we were there. The manager seemed annoyed with us getting our food at the window. She, as well as a young male worker, both had headsets on, and both ignored a car that was waiting to order at the speaker. The car eventually left. Giving the benefit of doubt, maybe the speaker is broken?
After a few minutes, the male worker handed us our bags of burritos, nachos, tacos, quesadilla, and our drinks. We were told we had to wait for the fries. That's fine. I walked the food to our car and handed it out and went back to my husband who was still waiting on the fries. Five minutes later, still standing outside in the cold, our fries were finally ready. I had no idea they took that ling to cook. The back door was still wide open and if we couldn't be handed food curbside, or at the lobby doors for security reasons, why was this back door left open and unsupervised? All that put aside we finally have our food, are back in the warm car eating, and turns out the items we specially said no Pico on, had EXTRA Pico de Gallo. There was no way we were going to walk back to the drive through window and ask them to remake the food properly. I did not want to wait in the cold or take a chance on them spitting in my food (a rumor you hear when food service workers have customers they don't like).
We don't have a Del Taco in my hometown and were so excited to finally try the food. We ended up highly disappointed and still hungry. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
Upside was the fries, chips, queso, and drinks were good. The mobile app was...
Read moreDon't dare try to work at this location, after hearing firsthand from several employees (after posting a concern on Facebook about this Del Taco location) , Krissy (store manager) seems to have a major problem and has no need whatsoever to work as a manager. She belittles employees, and when things don't go her way, she will threaten you and say she will reduce your hours permanently. Even as an example there was an employee who is pregnant, wasn't supposed to lift up but so many pounds, per a doctor excuse, but Krissy forced that employee to do so anyway or else she would reduce her hours. Or how about the employee she had several months ago that had wet socks on, wasn't allowed to change and had to suffer through his whole shift because Krissy said she would reduce his hours. Or how about when Krissy was caught red-handed stealing from the company, and when a employee approached her about it, that employee was called a liar and was fired for personal reasons. We all know Krissy thinks she can get away with so much because her mom is the GM at the bullhead City location but those days are over. Many employees are planning to do a walkout on a particular day and time, leaving Krissy all to her lonesome self after her abusive unprofessional ways. Oh let's not forget, she's about to face a lawsuit from a particular employee as well. I will not support a business who allows management to treat any employees this way. I'll be sure to make sure she is taken out of her job and no longer allowed to treat any employees in this manner. Her hours will be permanently reduced and will be over with very soon...
Read moreToday my hubby and I used the app to place an order. When we got our order at the drive through window, the girl shoved the bags in my hand and said "here". I quickly asked for a water. She rolled her eyes and got a water and again shoved it at me and said "here". She was young, dark hair, double peirced nose and false eye lashes. She never said anything else. My hubby and I drove away. He looked in the bags and there was no sauce, yes we added sauce on the app and there were no napkins. I turned around and went back, this time I walked in. I waited as another woman customer in front of me was angry that they'd lost her order, made her wait 20 minutes then her fries were cold. 🤷♀️ The girl at the counter Summer just looked at me. I said there's no sauce or napkins. She said we didnt see the sauce on the screen. What? Hmm, really? As the rude girl that shoved my food and water at me stood there glaring, I mentioned that her customer service was really lacking. Summer said I didn't need to be rude. I told her she, the girl at the window was rude, so you get what you give. I asked for the other (1st) rude girls name and Summer said, "she's a minor, I can't give you her name." I said okay and left. My hubby, myself and friends have been to this location many, many times and have NEVER encountered any problems or bad service, ever. These two girls were horrible. The man waiting for his food said, "Sheesh, they must be training, but really suck at it." So the lady in front of me, myself and another customer waiting for his food are having difficulties at the same time???? I'd say that's 3 strikes...
