I visited the Five Guys location in Kingman during my trip and ordered a burger. This was my second time visiting the chain. I placed an order for a hamburger, cheeseburger, little hamburger, fries, and drinks. The place was busy, so I waited for about 30 minutes before receiving my order. However, to my surprise, the burgers only had buns and patties—no toppings at all.
I initially thought I might have made a mistake with my order, but the white male employee with a beard, who took my order, didn’t mention anything about the toppings. I assumed the burgers would automatically come "All the way" with toppings included. But I was baffled to receive just bread and patties. Is it Five Guys' policy that customers have to explicitly ask for toppings? That doesn’t make sense—who eats a burger with only buns and patties?
The more I thought about it, the more I felt discriminated against. Was it because I’m Asian and my English isn’t perfect? I asked another staff member for toppings afterward, and while I did get them, it was incredibly humiliating to have to add the toppings to the burgers myself. Not surprisingly, the burger didn’t taste good after such an experience.
I ended up wasting an entire lunch during my trip, and it left me with a bad impression. Five Guys should definitely train their staff better to avoid this type...
Read moreThe staff here were very nice to me they actually shorted my order by accident. The young lady who was the manager was extremely nice to me so where the other members she had me come back Inn and made it right. She came out and talked with me and was very friendly while I was eating the whole staff was extremely friendly. I wish more businesses had the type of customer service that this place had. They have awesome hamburgers, but I think what's better than that, is how they treated me they were so friendly and nice oh, you don't find that much anymore. I wish I knew the name of the young lady that was the manager, she told me but I forgot. She is a young lady with short hair she has some very nice tattoo work on her, the actually looks feminine and pretty and classy not trashy. But really What mattered was her friendly and classy attitude she treated me like a person, but at the same time was very down-to-earth oh, I was just very very impressed by the staff there and by the way I was treated, I very rarely find this anymore. It seems that most businesses had forgotten what customer service is all about it's like they could care less whether you come back or not. That is definitely not the case here these people were very very nice, I bought two hamburgers oh, there's no way I could eat them both their huge and they...
Read moreI am a native Californian, so I have spent a good part of my life enjoying In-N-Out burgers. I still consider In-N-Out my favorite, but after today’s experience, I can compare In-N-Out to a basic transportation car while five guys would be a luxury car. Where five guys has many more options than In-N-Out, but at a premium price. I guess it goes with the old saying that you get what you pay for. Usually I’m entirely satisfied with what I get at in-N-Out, but if I wanted a really outstanding burger customized to my taste, it would have to be Five Guys. I really enjoyed the Cajun fries, and the medium size had plenty for me. I also was satisfied with the “small” burger. It’s the same physical size as the large, but with one patty instead of two. I always enjoy the Freestyle Coke machine with its many options. Bottom line for me is that my budget will keep me an In-N-Out customer on a regular basis. But for a special meal, I’ll...
