Update - training is understandable but it seemed very intentional. As for the 18% tip, I do understand it is part of your standard process. However you choose to stamp the customers copy that there has been an 18% tip already added and not the receipt that the customer actually signs and returns to the server. Why would you not stamp the actual receipt that the customer signs. I didnt look at my customer copy and just put it in my purse. We would of double tipped if my friends husband didnt look at his customer copy. Both situations are bad business and poor customer service.
Came with my friend and our kids. Myself and my two kids was a group of 3 (one 10 yrs old). My friend was with her husband and her two kids (both under 10 yrs old). Whole concepts was confusing and not very well explained. When asked about the check we explained who was with who and what orders should be on which bill, as we was paying separately. My friends husband noticed their two kids were charged the $15.99 adult price as was my one child. Kids under 10 yrs old was clearly marked as $10.99. We had to have the waitress take the bills back. She blamed the other server and stated I do not know why he does that, and stated he frequently gives adult bowls to kids without asking and then charges them as adults. When coming in there is a sign that say an 18% tip will be automatically added to groups over 6. Which is not uncommon but we were not one group but two separate checks. After getting our bill resolved and the children's bowls correctly charged myself and my friends husband both added a tip to our bills. Until my friends husband pulled the receipt all the way out of the sleeve and hiding was a stamp claiming an 18% tip had already been added. I then looked at mine and there also was a stamp stating an 18% tip was also on my bill. We would of both double tipped if he had not removed the ticket from the sleeve. We then had to removed our hand written tip from the total. Overall, experience zero stars and will not be returning. I would say if you do go WATCH your receipt and read each line carefully. To be this greedy and price gouge as a new business to the area is crazy. Clearly just trying to see what they can get away with and what the customer won't notice. ...
Read moreMy wife and I have been driving to Fishers to eat at the Yummy Bowl there for almost a yr. We fell in love with the restaurant immediately. One of the first things we said, is that we hope they open one in Kokomo. Let me tell you, even though the Fishers Location. The staff knows us by name, what we drink. This kokomo location is just as good, maybe even better. The decor on the inside is fantastic. The food, you can never ever go wrong with. The staff was just as polite. My only regret, is that we wont be seeing our Fishers Yummy Bowl staff as much. Thank you Yummy Bowl, you are our favorite place to have...
Read moreLooks clean inside but then again, they just opened. Every employee we came in contact with was friendly and smiling. Beware- there is an 18% auto gratuity added for parties of 6 or larger (not sure if they have an FYI posted elsewhere in the restaurant, we didn’t know, until there was a red inked stamp on the receipt after the card payment was ran through), it is included on your bill listed as “service fee.” We (6 adults all ordered the one bowl of CYO stir fry bowl & waters all around) went here on a Saturday around 11:30a-12p and the bill including the auto gratuity was around...
