Overall, this is a great place to bring kids. They kids are going to love it here. There are plenty of games with a good range to keep those at a younger age busy and even younger teenagers. The pizzas are good, if not a little plain, but this is understandable since it is marketed towards children.
On the other end of the spectrum--the reason(s) for only three stars--there is a lot of room for improvement. Starting with the fact the entire place could use a remodeling. Nothing has been updated since the 90s and it's painfully obvious. All of the Chuck E. Cheese videos and music are from that era and constantly playing as a reminder. The games are also dated. Those that have graphics as part of the game play are incredibly behind-the-times. Is it no wonder most kids want to stay home and play on their XBOX or PlayStation?
The staff are usually helpful, but could use some motivation. It seems they are paid minimum wage, because that is the level of service they always to provide--just enough. This is far more directed at the company and its culture than the staff, because it is more than likely prevalent at every location.
All in all, this place is great for a casual afternoon out with the kids when the weather is hot, especially if they love pizza. If they paid a little better and offered the staff something in the way of motivation, along with an update to the store itself, I think this could be a far better experience. With the price paid for the experience (not cheap when tickets, pizza, and prizes are all factored together) the store deserves this, along with the people that go there for the...
Read moreWe arrived at around 6pm. We were promptly greeted. We did the deal 2 pizzas and 4 drinks for $44. We ordered a pepperoni and a sausage pizza and cheese bread. I was told there are NO toppings anymore. Only the option of cheese, pepperoni, or sasuage.
Then we used a coupon for 60 minutes of game play for 19.99. Then we checked out again for another 60 minutes game play and added 10 for one child to jump.
We found a table, got drinks, and sat down. We got our youngest child ready to jump in the trampoline area. She was in there maybe 5 or so minutes and the food came out.
It was hot and fresh. The pepperoni was good. The sausage, eh, I didn't like it. The cheese bread was good and it came with two dipping sauces.
On to the games---- we played so many different games. But we were very disappointed on how many were broken, turned off, or weren't working right. I counted around 7+ that did not work. They still have the most games in Lake Charles, but it's disappointing when there are so many that did not work.
The trampoline area is very new. There was an employee standing there guarding/ counting children. There were never over the max amount. There needs to be shoe holder there near the area. There were tons of shoes just thrown about.
So, overall, I would not eat here again for a while. I only could order plain pizza with no toppings. There is no salad bar available.
The games- they still have that going for them compared to other local places. But what's the point when so...
Read moreMy best friend had her daughter’s 3rd bday party here, staff had awful attitudes. A birthday party, should have included a host, host was hardly around. First time party at this place so we ended up blowing out candles and then later realizing that we’re supposed to wait until chuck e comes out so they can all sing together. No communication what so ever. Also, when I went up to a staff member, asked her for assistance, she stared at me and shook her head as if yes I’ll be right with us and continued to lean on the wall and continue her conversation with her two other coworkers. I got the feeling we were aggravating her. Someone went to get their tickets redeemed and she told the lady what she wanted and the lady said okay and walked off for about five minutes…. Then someone new finally comes back and said how can I help you? So strange. Probably won’t be having a birthday party here...
