I donât post reviews EVER especially like this one Iâm about to write because I sound like a pessimist and like all I think about is how people annoy me, but I really tried to ignore what happened today. These 3 older folks come in, kind and quiet. The owner or whoever⌠this skinny older lady with glasses (looks like a deteriorating back of twigs about to disintegrate into dust) seems to be friends with them and comes and starts talking to them. At first itâs fine like yeah everyone talks about politics but her voice just got louder and louder. I still tried to ignore because they truly werenât bothering anyone even tho it would have been 100% nicer if they werenât so loud. She continued talking politics and Elon musk throughout our whole breakfast which was just like shut up at a point⌠Iâm sure your friends want to enjoy their meal without hearing your screeching voice yapping out your wahzoo. What really struck me to write this review was hearing the owner, of a business that she created in a decent and CAPABLE economy, mock teens nowadays saying âoh well we work two jobs to afford!! Oh well I donât so shut up about itâ. Which is really easy to say when you own a business where you can employ your family and when prices rise all you have to do is raise YOUR prices and everything is fine. You donât HAVE to work another job to put food on the table because grocery prices rise and the paystub doesnât and then try to pay rent or take care of your siblings/fam as everything gets more and more expensive while making the same amount of money. Yeah I can attempt to open a business in this economy for triple the money you needed to first invest into it and then cross my fingers it takes off. There are people just trying to survive paycheck to paycheck and you can continue to call them ignorant but theyâre just trying to survive in this world that is warped and formed for lower class to be slaves to people like ur disgusting racist self. You should be ashamed but you never could be because your ignorance is complete bliss. You donât have to choose human rights over politics. Just get a...
Read moreWe had a pretty bad experience during our first visit to a restaurant. While enjoying lunch with my elderly parents, a lady approached our table, whom we assumed was the shop manager, as she neither introduced herself nor had a name ID card visible. She started speaking rudely without providing any context, leaving us all bewildered and exchanging puzzled looks. After a minute or two, we finally understood what she was pointing outâit was the burger they had served us, even though we had ordered something else as per the menu card. It's possible that there was a lack of clarity in the menu or our misunderstanding of how to read it.
Although the server was understanding and willing to replace the burger, there was no further conversation regarding the incident, including the cost or any potential resolution. I was open to discussing the matter and even bearing the cost if necessary, but the complete lack of professionalism in handling the situation was highly disappointing.
As a result, my parents became a little worried, and they even stopped eating. The entire family was deeply hurt by this experience, which had a significant impact on our enjoyment of the meal. To make matters worse, when we were ready to leave, they added the entire cost of the meal to the check after the lady had insinuated that I should bear the cost or the waiter should pay for it. I firmly expressed that I didn't want the server to suffer due to any confusion caused by the menu card or lack of communication. Feeling frustrated and wanting to avoid any more delays, I paid the bill, even though we were all inclined to leave the...
Read moreCute little diner! All original bar and terrazzo floors. Read the top of the menu. Greeted right away on a Wednesday late morning. Seated right away. Linda, our waitress, was nice and helpful. Food came out in less then 10 minutes. We had the country combo and griddle combo with a side order of hash browns. Gravy and sausage was a nice flavor that you normally donât taste with most gravyâs. Had more of a mild Italian taste. Pancakes were fluffy and warm. Eggs were normal and we got crispy bacon just how we ordered it. While sitting and waiting we saw this deep dish apple pie slice in the case. We split a piece and it was delicious. Apples were tender and full of cinnamon. The top was more like an apple crisp. Itâs made in a spring form pan. Recommend the pie! Place was clean and neat. Locals were friendly and helped suggest a place when they overheard our conversation. One of things I love about the Midwest! Iâm sure weekends are busy since itâs limited on the amount of seating/parking. Great little diner tucked away around the fast...
