TE'AMO Boba Bar — Restaurant in Lake View Township

Saw this place on Instagram and wanted to check it out. I’m a huge fan of popping boba and they sadly don’t offer that as an option, not a fan of jelly’s or the tapioca. I got their original lemonade topped with butterfly tea I think it was called, and it just tasted like water with a little bit of lemon. The aesthetic is great and the cheesecake buns were delicious but the employee seemed like she did not want to be there. The people who came in after us asked if they could order and she told them to just order from the kiosk. I asked her about something I had seen off of the Te Amo website (my sister really wanted their tote bundle, that comes with the tote, cup and straw) and she said ‘I have never heard of that.’ In a very uninterested tone. Probably one of my favorite places to get boba! Sunset smoothie with Lychee jelly has been my go to for these hot summer days. Lychee jelly and boba pearls have been perfectly chewy and fresh each time Ive tried them. I’ve tried several of the drinks like taro, ube, and milk tea, and each has been tasty. I drink a lot of boba and am pretty picky but these have always been great! I always feel a bit bad that there is only one person on staff working but I have no complaints so far. The drinks aren’t too sweet either, and pretty fairly priced compared to other boba places. Tried the coconut Jelly today and it was soooo smooth it melted in my mouth. Went in during their soft opening. I've been to their Schaumburg location once before, and the offerings here seem to be the same.

I got a sunrise smoothie, which is strawberry and mango. While I definitely enjoyed it and it tasted like fresh fruit, I do feel the amount I get for what I paid wasn't enough.

Te'amo looks to be advertised as using organic and natural ingredients, so the prices are reflective of a quality drink bar. If that's your thing, that's great.
