Order: Appetizer of Bread, 2 Pizzas Price: $40 Positives: Very attentive staff, good flavor, open late Negatives: A bit “fancy”, upscale, and eclectic (one example just being that they wouldn’t leave the water pitcher because it was fancy) tldr: Ada’s has some killer bread and pretty good pizza, but it’s a bit of a fancier upscale place that made me feel like I was out of place

Thoughts: Stop number 12 on the food, dessert, and coffee tour for Vegas, and the last unique stop before we left the following day. We had just finished hiking seven hours, a total of 14 miles, in the middle of the day in September in the Valley of Fire so we were really thirsty, and really hungry. Unfortunately most of the places we had bookmarked to go try had already closed for the night. Apparently very few restaurants outside of the strip are open that late, which I guess makes sense. Anyway Ada’s was on our list kind of as a back up in case we needed one. And it turns out we did.

We were a little bit worried that we weren’t fancy enough or dressed up enough to go, and while this was partially true it didn’t stop us from getting in, and other people weren’t really dressed up, but the atmosphere definitely felt more formal than just a place to grab food. We walked in, took a look at the menu and decided to order two of their personal, brick oven Italian style pizzas. And as a back up, because honestly I was worried I wouldn’t have enough food, their house made sourdough as an appetizer.

When the sourdough came out we were both honestly a bit shocked. It’s an entire loaf of sourdough bread, like a big one, realistically this could be an appetizer for 4 to 6 people no problem. Instead my wife and I were left trying to figure out what the heck we were going to do with all this extra bread because there was no way we can eat that and anything else. One of my big recommendations for Ada’s would be to either offer a smaller loaf or at least tell people how big this loaf of bread is going to be. That being said it was very good and would probably even be good if you took it home and ate it on following days, but we’re visiting and staying in a Airbnb so that wasn’t super practical.

The pizza was also pretty good though not amazingly fantastic. It was cooked in a brick oven Italian style manner, with the thin crust slightly burnt edges. The ingredients were all good but I think the crust was a little thick for my taste and the edges were too puffy and a barren and thus a little too burnt for my preference. I do think I’m honestly being pretty picky though because we have an amazing Italian brick oven pizza place in Jacksonville so I’ve been kind of spoiled.

I do want to give a big shout out to our server though. When we arrived we had just finished hiking for like eight hours so we were super thirsty. When he brought us our glasses of water I asked if he could just leave the pitcher because we were going to drink a lot of water. He said no, which was weird but they are like artisan fancy clay pots or something, so I guess I understood, even if it also made me feel out of place. Instead he promised that he would never let our whiskey size glasses run out of water, I was incredibly skeptical to say the least. To his credit we never ran out of water which was kind of remarkable. The restaurant wasn’t packed or anything but I think I drank about 12 glasses of water and never saw the bottom of my cup. It was super impressive honestly.

Overall I think I would say Ada’s is good. But from the small amount that I experienced I don’t know that I would send people there. I wouldn’t tell them not to go, but I also think it would be one of those things where I don’t ever remember to tell them to go. It’s sort of sits in the very solid good category but not really great category. I’m not sure if there are other pizza restaurants in Vegas that could compete so that could change my mind a little but I think I would call it a good restaurant but nothing...

This is a cool little tapas type of restaurant in Tivoli Village. If you’re interested in grabbing a few bites to eat while with some friends or a date or even a few glasses of wine then this is where to go. The menu that we received was December 2024 so this review will be based on that menu or the item that may or may not remain on the menu.

Like with any restaurant that you haven’t been to or heard of, I recommend asking the staff what they recommend. Along with their advice, we ordered ordered sourdough toast + duck butter, cured wagyu beef + aged beef fat, fried brussels + pineapple gochujang and wild mushrooms + sherry and rosemary. They were all good little small bites and complimented each other well but if i were to recommend one of them, I highly recommend the fried Brussels as it was perfectly balanced and had a unique flavor to it. The sourdough toast and even partially the Wagyu beef also didn’t really win me over. The toast was also a bit too charred for my liking and I would rather get something else next time instead of the two.

As we did come here during the holidays, Ada’s decorated their restaurant to be more in the holiday spirit and it definitely brought that holiday feel. This dimly lit restaurant brings a cozy vibe as it is small and intimate. We mainly come here for a few drinks and small bites. They have a decent wine selection but the only downfall (which may or not be their fault) is that they served a wine that smelled like funky old water (that’s the best way I can describe it). I am not a wine enthusiast at all but a “quality” wine that smells funky isn’t a good start to a meal. While the rest of the wine selections were decent, this one didn’t help leave a lasting...

Great atmosphere and scrumptious bites!

Was headed elsewhere for dinner and remembered seeing it a few weeks earlier, and then recalled the delicious smells wafting from their dining room when I had walked past before.

Smaller dining room and quite busy, but quaint nonetheless. After a 20min wait, to which we had a stroll and took in the sights of Tivoli, we were seated. Our server greeted immediately, and was warm and inviting, and had excellent descriptions to the drinks listed on the cocktail menu; aiding in our selections. Drinks and appetizers were ordered and came out rather quickly. The meatballs were generously sized, definitely made fresh in house, and served with a toasted bread that was fantastic. The Caprese was divine... Fresh gooey mozzarella, crisp basil and firm grape tomato pieces topped with a perfectly sweet, acidic balsamic.

Dinner plates followed shortly thereafter, he having a pizza on freshly made dough, the crust so crisp & tasty; it was served to his liking... So hot that you had to wait a moment, savoring the smells. I ordered the Gemelle pasta, perfectly tossed in a pistachio pesto. The server checked on us throughout the meal and even took a moment to chat when posed with questions. We found that all the doughs for bread & pasta are made right there, in their kitchen... You can tell, as they just taste freshly made.

We wrapped up the meal with a scoop of their in-house ice cream... I had white peach ricotta (omg good!) And he, the vegan pistachio. Searching my mind, I cannot find the right words to describe how absolutely delicious this meal was... Superb perhaps, still doesn't...
