Artifice — Restaurant in Las Vegas

This is the original social spot in the Las Vegas Arts District, and in my opinion still the best. Artifice is an inclusive and diverse establishment with a classy and polished art-lounge feel that caters to the ever-changing clientele in the Las Vegas Arts District. It started off years ago with a more art-punk vibe, but as the demographics shift in this area the bar managed to both follow the trend as well as maintain its unique identity. There are a variety of theme nights and events offered here throughout the week or the month, so check the calendar for what you like. But it is most known for the longest running goth dance night in Las Vegas, in fact Artifice is almost synonymous with that. However, as a venue, it hosts all kinds of local artistic events, dance nights and performance evenings. The drinks are inexpensive compared to the strip, and reasonably priced when compared to other bars in the area. The service is friendly, the music and ambience just awesome. If I could give this bar zero stars, I would. Went in to have a drink with my girlfriend...this is not a sports bar however the bartender ROBBY (heavier set fellow, with over processed bleached hair) decided to extend his opinions being a redwings fan while wearing a knights jersey. Obviously new to hockey, the bartender spouted off when the knights ended up losing their game and in turn, asked me and my friend to leave for clapping for the victory of the other team. The bartender happily and proudly gave out the "manager" Mandy's number while joking about his employment. Mandy knowingly only responded to the friend, and disregarded the inappropriate behavior of the bartender and laughed it off as the patrons being "obnoxious" while never being present for the exchange.

The bartenders sell their own cigarettes to paying patrons and I absolutely will be reporting this bar to the State or Nevada.

Don't even waste your time coming here. Garbage bar, garbage "employees",...

April 2024 update: I just learned this past week that Artifice is no more. The owner has sold it and it is closed, the new owners of the building are turning it into a member's driven, application required, NeoVegas speakeasy, this sucks. Thanks for the memories Artifice.
