This memorial site for the 50+ persons who were eliminated by an evil gunman is quite a wonderful honorable memorial and work of art. It can be very sobering , sad & deeply reflective should one approach it empathetically. On a positive note, it reflects the truth and heartaches of human tragedy and loss that many of us, but not all should Confront and be prayerful for those in need and those who have suffered great loss. When the garden1st opened it had a magnificent ceremony several years ago . As a bugler I tearfully Played taps just outside the front gate which also brought back memories playing taps in Vietnam for a fallen Marine. This garden brings back memories then and in an honorable and sober moment in the present for all families involved.
The photos below should speak volumes to your heart to keep all those in prayer at the garden, and around the world daily from the evil tragedies that fall mankind in our global ongoing warfare that befall many currently each day.
The directions to the “Healing Garden” is located on Google as well as East Charleston at 1015 S Casino center Boulevard .

Read moreFor anyone interested in going to a place that honors all the victims of last year's tragic shooting at the 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas this is a must see. It is on a donated piece of property so it's a little difficult to find and it's not in the best area of Vegas, but once you get there all of that fades into the background. The people who put it together did an incredible job of honoring each of the victims. There are also four beautiful walls that have been made; three with each person's name and photo and one with their names and where they were in relation to each other when they died. The locals have painted memory rocks for each individual so that every tree is decorated in some way whether family and friends have been able to visit or not. The local children have done some very moving poems and artwork for each person. I did not know anyone who died there and was still moved to tears by this incredible memorial done entirely by the people of the community. I would list it as a must see along with the exhibition running at the Clark County Musuem through...
Read moreI remember watching the news as the tragedy unfolded in Las Vegas. I was heartbroken over the senseless violence. As we started along the path that encircled the Garden, I was immediately overwhelmed with the sorrow for the families of the victims. Each one had their own place along the path that included their name, a photo and memorabilia placed there by families and friends. There's a heart shaped out of iron with a rock with each name inside it. There's a large Remembrance Wall with the names on brass. As we walked around, I could feel the love these citizens of Las Vegas give to the memories of each victim in creating the Garden. I saw their ongoing commitment to taking care of this memorial. I could hear the wind whispering through the flowers and trees planted in their honor. And I was witness to the dedication these folks who live there have given to keeping the memory alive of each one of the 58 victims. I walked away knowing I would never forget them nor the good people of Vegas who strive to make their Garden an...
