I'm very sure (like many others) we really want the covid restrictions in Las Vegas to go away because we all know that Las Vegas is one of the premier destinations to either visit or live in when you want to have something to do especially at night. Las Vegas has tons of fine dining and restaurants with themes - which makes the dining experience in Vegas top notch at all levels. So, I'm going to preface by saying that although, I loved the customer service at Binion's Cafe, I was not thrilled about the food and the food selection. [I want to be fair and add that this review is being written after my first experience being there and that I visited on a Monday night after 9:00 p.m. when my original intent was actually to go visit Claim Jumper in the Golden Nugget]. I ordered the Cowboy Cheesesteak with mushrooms and bell peppers which comes with fries. I want to give this cheesesteak three and a half stars. Presentation was completely awesome. It looked like a very large cheesesteak sandwich that filled up an entire platter size plate. However, because I decided to consume my fries first, I discovered that many of my fries had been placed underneath the sandwich which would give it the illusion of being a little bit larger than it really was. Don't get me wrong, I still had to squeeze it together to fit it in my mouth as there was a lot of meat, I just wanted it to be a tad bit more seasoned. It was still a filling meal and I was full after eating it. What really made my experience more pleasurable was the friendly staff who actually allowed me to bug them for about 15 minutes about their experiences with the COVID shots and the mandatory policies for employees to take them. My experiences with the buffet and this Cafe in Binion's are negative because of unseasoned food (Which is probably due to the fact that the greater percentage of their clientele is comprised of senior citizens.) Binion's actually has a barbecue place that I really want to try before I completely write them off. However, if you're hungry and you can't get in anywhere else and you really are not particular about what to eat, Binion's Cafe will satisfy...
Read moreDowntown at the Freemont experience and this guide is proud to report one of the best dining experiences to date in Las Vegas. We decided to choose Binion's Café, tucked away toward the front center of the Casino. The Cashier/ Hostess ( Apple ) was cashing out a couple when we walked up and immediately pointed to a table while still finishing her transaction like the Pro she is! Menus on the table and silverware as well. The entire well oiled staff is something to see. They ALL work together while helping each other monitoring ANY table a server might pass. And without a word cleaned a finished plate away or filled a drink that was low. Our Server, nay Waitress ( a truly seasoned and talented service staff member! ⭐) Lindsay was excellent in EVERY respect. She greeted and welcomed us and took our order in a flash. In no more than 5 mins. I ordered the Twin Pork Chops and my guest the Fish and Chips Plate. Both meals were fresh well seasoned and delicious. We shared a tasting between us of the others dinner. We were served our salads...an abundant salad with all the vegetable components topped with homemade croutons. 3/4 of the way through salads our entreés were served with ease and we were asked if there was anything else we needed. The food is basically Continental American with a few twists here and there. Each plate that passed our table was a perfect presentation of what good solid food should look like in ANY RESTAURANT. The Line Cooks were equally impressive and lightening fast. Not one as I saw them was under 45 yrs. old. Youth will NEVER trump Experience in my opinion. All was enjoyed and Lyndsay our Waitress was the sparkling GEM on the Café's gleaming CROWN. I will return over and over to try each of the enticing entreés and save room for dessert at our next visit.

Read moreWent in for lunch. Wait staff seemed very angry about working. Ordered a cheese steak, Waitress came by at 10 minutes and dropped of my bill. Took another 10 minutes for food to come to table. Served by someone, never saw them, as they dropped plate by reaching around from behind me. Picked up the sandwich and the bottom just fell out. Now I have no cheese steak sandwich , but rather a pile of cheesy, brown looking something with two halves of bread. I just got up and left. When I got to the register to pay (for the meal I could not eat) you have to talk to a gal behind some plexiglass cage and you cannot hear a word she is saying. I just put a $20 down (14.99 for sandwich and 3.99 for iced tea) and left.
I asked to speak to food & bev. manager. Spoke with Mike. Told him. He asked :who was your server"? How would I know. What did she look like? This is surprising the cheese steak is good. Did you ask her to replace it? Yikes no thanks I don't enjoy eating sputum. I told him I knew he could look at tickets from the cafe (it had only;y been 10 minutes) and see who the server was who served a single cheese steak but then I said ?but we both know you are not going to do that are you Mike?" The blank expression I got in response was answer enough. This place should be avoided if you are looking for good food and even just barely...
