Being that they are located in the fountainbleau, we were excited to try out their food hall. The burger menu looked promising. We ordered the classic and smoked show burgers. The loaded truffles fries and bottled drinks.
The food was ready in about 15 minutes. We tried it, and here are what we would like to share:
Atmosphere was grand and clean Staff were friendly and great with the customers. The buns were warm and soft.
Those were just about what we liked
Both burgers tasted the same. Likely due to the same secret schmear they use... too much of. I tasted very vinegary.. 2.. The classic was a simple burger, but the smoke show supposedly has ceramalized onion bacon jam that can't be detected in the flavor. It was so little and drowned out by the schmear. I would have preferred to skip the schmear and more of the jam. The "loaded" fried basically waffle fries with more of the same tasting schmear, some cheese, and truffles flavors. Not sure what was "loaded" but it tasted the same as the schmeae on the burgers and overpowering truffle flavor. I know it's an expensive place. Soda and water at $7 and $10 each! Total bill with tax and tips was close to $80!
We were so disappointed we skipped the gelato. We don't think this is the value nor the quantity for the price....
Read moreCapon's Burgers is a solid four stars! There's nothing truly exceptional about them and the prices DO be a little high, but the burgers are indeed quite juicy and tasty for a quick lunch or dinner.
I was visiting the Fontainebleau's new Promenade Food Hall and trying something from each of the locations as part of a video. For Capon's, my first stop, I decided to give the good ol' Capon's Classic for $13 a try!
Speed wise, they weren't exceptionally slow, although did take a little while longer than some of the other locations. But once it was ready, the burger was hot'n'fresh and ready to chow down on!
The Capon's Classic is certainly a visually appealing burger - a well toasted bun, juicy patty, very fresh and brightly colorful lettuce and tomato sticking out of it. I also really LOVE their special sauce that they put in it - kind of similar to In-N-Out but also a definite distinct taste. It OOOOZES out and drips down when you bite into it, and complements the juicy, thick patty and fresh toppings really well!!
There's not much to say when it comes to ambiance and atmosphere, as it's located in what's basically a glorified food court.
Capon's is a solid spot! If you're craving a burger and willing to shell out $15-20 for one, the burgers here will definitely satisfy you and leave you...

Located inside the food court on second floor. For two people with burgers, fries and bottled drinks, the bill came out to over $60. I would have taken a cup of tap water but they said they don't have any to give and would have to buy drinks.
My buddy and I got the blackjack burger. A couple things to note: All burgers are cooked the same (well done). They don't take requests like "medium rare" Adding an extra patty costs an additional $5 Patties are thin
Also got the loaded truffle fries. Good thing I got the sauce on the side because if you don't, it'll be drenched with their sauce. Fries are waffle style and had a pretty good crispy crunch to them but also tasted a little dull and flat like they were old.
Overall, I'd give the food a 2 out of 5. The burger was pretty bland and boring. The fries were meh, and not crazy about having to pay for water. Also worth noting that it takes a little while to get your food.
I'm writing this a couple of hours after eating and I can still taste the saltiness and burger taste. The baño will be getting more attention than it usually does from this meal.
Hate to say it but try one of the other spots in the food court or maybe just walk over to...
