Strike 3 and I'm ouuutta here. Nearly every time I've bothered to go here out of convenience they've messed up my order. They're completely unapologetic about it of course. The first accident was when they put real turkey meat on my Veggie turkey sandwich. To my dismay I didn't discover this until several bites deep and immediately became nauseous and frustrated with their carelessness. I went all the way back to complain, politely, and they were rude! I was told I can either have my sandwich remade OR get my money back after going from there to home and back for their mess up. How ridiculous and unaccommodating after they made an absolute grave mistake. Second time I mistakenly went there they for some reason believed I'd like Mayo added to my Veggie Sandwich? Not a condiment listed in the ingredients nor asked for so I think at that point it was just to mess with me. I even checked before I left to make sure the Turkey was vegan but sadly I didn't notice the mayo until after a few bites. I went back again and got the same response as before. I was done then and there but in a crunch at the girlfriend's request we stopped there one last time. Oh my word I couldn't make it up that on the last occasion I watched the lady sweating behind the counter preparing food adjust her breast in her bra with her plastic gloves on! She didn't change them and she continued to handle the food! Disgusted we refused to take the order and wanted our money back while she looked at me dumbfounded as to why. I got my money and left for the last time. These workers have no shame, no courtesy, no sense of cleanliness and clearly just as individuals have no respect towards their customers. Never once was there an apology made by their staff for any of these incidents. It's a shame because they have really great sandwiches which is why I now drive an extra 4 miles just to go to another location where they've never messed up my order yet and if they did I guarantee they'd do more to make amends with...
Read moreThis was my first visit to a Capriotti's Sandwich Shop, and I will fully admit that it was a great visit.
I walked in and noticed that a lot of employees were listening to a couple of people in Capriotti's shirts talk, but I made nothing of it. I walked in and they stood at attention to take care of me.
I was staring at the menu above the cash register trying to figure out what I wanted. I casually mentioned to the lady behind the counter taking my order that this was my first visit, but I've heard that they make a killer sandwich. I also admitted that I was not sure what I wanted to order; however, I was gravitating towards their famous "Bobbie" or their French Dip. It was at that point that one of the people in the Capriotti shirts talking to the employees said, "I think you should order both. I'll tell you what. The 2nd sandwich is on me." He then proceeds to tell the employee that to get me the Bobbie (cold) with warm gravy on the side and a French Dip. He turns to me and says, "I'm the CEO of Capriotti's and I was just visiting some stores. I want you to try the French Dip, too. It's great!"
Sure enough, I tried both sandwiches; however, my problem still exists. The next time I eat at a Capriotti's (and, yes, I definitely will be going back), I will still be at a loss of which sandwich to get becuase they were both excellent! The bread is perfectly soft. The flavors were great! I love a solid sandwich shop, and Capriotti's is top-tier.
I would strongly recommend going to Capriotti's for a sando. I would definitely recommend to go there while the CEO is visiting and casually compliment the sandwiches in front of him. Having said all that, even if the CEO is not visiting your Capriotti's location, it is still more than worth it for the delectable sandwiches.

Read moreUpdate: Capriotti’s corporate guys reached out to me and helped make it right by gifting me a free medium sub, and this time around, it actually was the Italian sub that I wanted all along! It tasted pretty good, even! I really appreciated that, and have now changed my score from 2 to 4 stars.
Original review below:
We just ordered delivery from here, and I wrote out specific instructions for 2 of the 3 sandwiches that we ordered, such as “Extra mayo on the side”, “Substitute American cheese for provolone”, “No Italian oil”, etc. It was very obvious that they never even bothered to read these notes, since one of the subs came with provolone cheese and no mayonnaise on the side at all. The worst part, however, is that, even though I specifically ordered an Italian sub that I was greatly looking forward to, they sent me a cheesesteak instead, even though the other 2 subs in the order were the right kind!!! I was severely disappointed with this. To be (slightly) fair, the subs did taste pretty good, somewhat better than what Subway offers, but if they don’t even bother to abide by the notes that you write for them, and you’re not even guaranteed to get the correct kind of sub that you actually ordered, then what’s the point of ordering delivery...
