We arrived at 3:15 and were one of two tables at the restaurant. The waiter mentioned an easy app you could place your order on. We looked at the menu ahead of time and knew what we wanted. Using your phone to order was not easy. This place is in a dead zone for cell service. They allow you to sign in to the hotel's wifi which is great until you need to receive an SMS code via text. I wandered around until I received it because by the time we got the "easy app" to work, it was 3:45 and the place was busy.
As soon as placed our order, our waiter brought us our chips and guac. I was surprised to receive them in a "to-go" containers. The portion of guac was good but we didn't get much chips. Thankfully, our waiter brought us another box of chips.
Minutes later, we received our tacos. The shrimp tacos were spicier than expected. My husband and I guzzled our waters down, placed them at the edge of our table hoping our waiter would bring us more. We ended up having to ask him for more water. My second taco was the impossible taco and it was surprisingly delicious. I could have had three of them. I highly recommend. My husband had two carne asada and he said they were good. He'd rate them a 4/5.
My husband and I only had a half of a taco each left by the time our drinks arrived. The waiter apologized because there were only three people working that day: a cook, one waiter and one bartender. With a full bar, it took him quite a while to make them. I had the Mango Mojito and my husband had the Dolewhip Margarita. We enjoyed both of our drinks.
The reason I gave only 3/5 stars is because the atmosphere of this establishment makes you expect a different kind of experience. The inside is absolutely beautiful, upscale and modern. Not your typical Mexican food. However, you eat with plastic silverware food out of to-go containers and the service was subpar for the price...
Read moreWith tip and 1 cocktail each, 2 entrees and chips and salsa, we spent $91 here. The food was tasty and came relatively fast. It was good enough to feel satisfiied with the convenience of a quick dinner without a long walk or drive to someplace better rated. I gave the food 4 stars.
The reason I've rated the overall experience as a 3 star is the QR code ordering system. When we were seated, I was told by the hostess to scan the code to order. Initially this was okay and was a familiar process started under the Covid era. Once I got to the tipping section, I understood this was literally like ordering a delivery/pickup meal and would be paying online. The suggested tips were from 18% and up. Thinking that service would still be present, I tipped 20%. For my 20%, we had our meals delivered to our table, and never had an employee talk to us again that evening. If we wanted another round of drinks or to add dessert, I would of needed to go back to the online app to process a new order. Not a convenient prospect so we spent about $40 less than we would have if we had a server attending to us. As we were leaving, I did see that there were many other tables that did not use the online system, but placed orders with a server. They probably received more attentive service by ordering this way. My advice, unless you want zero contact with the waitstaff, do not order with the online system.
One last thing...plastic utensils? Were they out of metal forks, or was our online order considered a to-go meal? Does Vegas need more waste for their landfills? If they place the utensils into recycle (I would guess they would say this if asked) they would be thrown away at the recycling center because utensils are too small to...

RESTAURANT:
I like the lighting of the restaurant. It is a little dark, but has well lit tables. Upon entering, there is a bar with seats on one side and an open kitchen on the other side. We sat in a booth near the back of the restaurant, which was nice to get away from the casino floor.
SERVICE:
One unique aspect is you seat yourself. I liked that set-up because it gave us the opportunity to look around and made the experience feel more laid back, which seemed fitting for street tacos.
Just as we sat down, Dani, the manager, greeted us. She's the type of person, who makes you feel at ease, when she speaks to you. She struck up a conversation with us and spoke to us as friends she hadn't seen in awhile. It was very endearing and had us feeling satisfied before we even ordered.
FOOD:
The chef's ceviche and guacamole are both fantastic. The ceviche has large pieces of shrimp, but still packs a ton of citrus in ever bite.
For tacos, we ordered the chicken tinga, lamb, lengua, shrimp xni-pec, pork al pastor, and pork belly agridulce. The shrimp is cooked with a nice char, but is very juicy, and the lamb is perfectly tender. Our favorite was the sweet and sour pork belly, which is complemented by sweet garlic and sour slaw (genius).
We also had a dole whip margarita. A dole whip plus a margarita...I'm pretty sure you can figure out how good that is. So, I'm not even going to say anything else.
ALL-STAR...
