Balla Italian Soul: Opulent Ambiance, but Pricey Indulgence Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) Balla Italian Soul boasts an inviting ambiance that transports you to an Italian trattoria, complemented by a dedicated and attentive staff who strive to ensure a pleasant dining experience. While there were some highlights, a few aspects left me questioning the overall value of the meal. Starting with the positives, the decor and ambiance are undeniably great. The restaurant's charm creates a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. The staff's attentiveness was commendable, and they made every effort to promptly address any issues with the meal. The food-tasting experience, priced at $100 per person with a wine pairing, seemed like a promising journey through Italian cuisine. The Caesar salad was a highlight, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to using high-quality ingredients. However, not all dishes lived up to expectations. The Margherita pizza fell short of satisfying, but the accommodating staff promptly exchanged it for focaccia bread, a much-appreciated gesture. The flavorful pasta turned out to be spicier than anticipated but still good. the unconventional presentation of macaroni and cheese looking cubes of pasta was different. The true star of the meal was the steak, delivering on its promise of excellence. The perfectly cooked steak became the standout favorite of the evening, alongside the Caesar salad and pasta. As much as the dining experience was enjoyable, the real drawback surfaced with the pricing. The restaurant takes pride in using top-notch ingredients, and while the quality is evident, the cost can be exorbitant for some diners. For patrons from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, the price tag of $280 for two people could be a significant deterrent. The comparison between the dinner expense and the cost of a three-night stay elsewhere is certainly noteworthy. While Balla Italian Soul aims for an opulent experience, the high prices might limit its accessibility to a broader range of patrons. In conclusion, Balla Italian Soul offers an enticing atmosphere, attentive service, and dishes made with premium ingredients. However, the steep prices detract from the overall experience, earning it a 3-star rating. It remains a place to consider for special occasions or those willing to indulge without budget constraints.

Went to Balla Italian Soul this past Saturday, the new restaurant that recently opened at the Sahara Hotel. This restaurant is a culinary oasis that captivates both locals and visitors alike. We had an exquisite dining experience, with an impeccable blend of immaculate, friendly service, a well-curated small menu, delightful cocktails, and stunning decor. From the moment we stepped foot into Balla’s, we were greeted with a warmth and hospitality that was unparalleled, I thought I made a reservation for 5:30pm, but it was actually for 6:00pm, the hostess was so gracious and found a way to sit us right away. The staff was not only attentive and accommodating but went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable. Their genuine passion for providing exceptional service shined through, from accommodating special request to the menu to suggesting items based on what we wanted. The menu at Balla’s is a testament to the culinary expertise and dedication of the chefs. Instead of an extensive list of dishes, the menu is thoughtfully curated, showcasing a selection of mouthwatering Italian delicacies. Each dish was an explosion of flavors that left our taste buds dancing with delight. We started with the Burrata salad, absolutely amazing and our two pasta dishes were spectacular. Every bite at Balla was a testament to the artistry of Italian cuisine. The restaurant also has an lovely cocktail selection. The mixologists there have perfected the craft of creating innovative and tantalizing libations. We ordered the Italian Summer - comprised of Italicus Rosolio, Dry Curacao, Lillet Blanc, Lime, Strawberry, and Prosecco, it truly felt like an Italian Summer…delicious! The beauty of this place extends beyond the culinary experience. The restaurant is adorned with exquisite decor, featuring elegant tables and plush booths, but perhaps the most captivating element of the restaurant's aesthetics is the magnificent wall art that adorns the space. These beautiful pieces celebrate Italian culture and heritage, transporting you to an authentic Italian vibe. Overall I highly recommend Balla Italian Soul. Its commitment to immaculate, classy service, a thoughtfully curated small menu, an impressive cocktail selection, and stunning decor create an extraordinary dining experience.

Beautiful setting! Every thing we tried was fabulous. Guillermo was such a helpful and knowledgeable server-we went with his recommendations and were so happy we did! He was very kind and attentive without being intrusive; perfect for our anniversary dinner which he acknowledged throughout the evening and made very special for us. The GM, Victor also came and chatted for a while which was very nice! The focaccia was the best we have had. The Fra Diavolo was packed with complex flavors but somehow managed to be subtle. The Gorgonzola salad was well balanced despite the strong flavors. Burratta with caviar so creamy. House made gelato and the dark chocolate tart are to die for. We can’t wait to return and try more of the menu. The ONLY thing we didn’t care for was the music that was playing-almost sounded like club music which didn’t seem to fit the rest of the ambiance. Not a big deal though so it definitely wouldn’t stop us from coming back again and again. Prior was my 1st review. We loved it so much though that we went back a second time during our brief time in Vegas. This time we were helped by Casey who was also great. And the food was again fantastic. One of us had the tasting menu which was fantastic and we also had a crab and squash blossom pasta dish along with the focaccia again. Everything was superb, even the veggie sides were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Also fortunate enough to try more gelato flavors and the panna cotta. We loved both visits here and will definitely return the next time we are in Vegas as it has become our favorite restaurant in the entire city.
