This was easily the worst experience at a Denny's or for that matter any restaurant I have ever been in my 60 years of living. It started with a 40-minute wait out front for a restaurant that had maybe 20 to 30% occupancy and more than five servers plus Cooks. All of that weight at the same time as bearing witness to the fact there were plenty of people and servers to serve a a full restaurant easily. Even though that was the case as evidence by exhibit a photo where you have at least four employees standing around basically making small talk and the more frustrated we all became outside in the freezing cold in middle of the night it seemed the more motivated they were and pleased they were to stand and talk to each other shooting the breeze. Amongst these poor excuses for a staff at any restaurant let alone one so well known and supposedly managed as Denny's, was the manager pictured in exhibit b, who was hell bent on being as foul and rude as a person could possibly be and as if that were not enough upon being asked her name she became even more belligerent foul and rude actually using curse words and the defamatory insults at a screaming actually childlike fever pitch and asked if I would like to wait all night or don't I think I should find another restaurant if I'm not pleased with the performance of their staff and after waiting 40 minutes I decided to just play it out and see where I went from there, and this is not the first time I have had unimaginable drama and difficulty with the manager and believe it or not they were different managers each time as in who in God's name is hiring these people so consistently incompetent, incapable, rude, and with no concept of proper etiquette or even remotely understanding how to talk to a customer. So after all that way and being yelled at and refused her name point blank and point blank being verbally attacked just for asking her name of which she never gave I might add nor would any be employees divulge her name either. The servers seem to have the same sort of bad attitude and service she set the example of and upon finally being seated didn't take more than about 30 minutes for me to receive my meal and within a few minutes of receiving it she comes over and says I have to move because they're cleaning the area and I have no choice in the matter. Well at first I was compliant and started but it occurs to me how rude and foul must a person have to be let alone a manager making a customer get up in the middle of his mail and relocate to another part of the restaurant which was about 80% empty and the place that I was sitting was not in the area that the bus boy had just got finished cleaning and was done that area, but for some reason she just would not leave it alone and would not even let me finish upon once she proceeds to send over the security guard to strongarm me into moving or into leaving and upon asking him could I speak with manager he informs me that he spoke to the manager and the manager wants me to leave immediately and would not even let me box up my meal to go with me. Just the mere questioning of why would she do that through a customer in the middle of a meal for an area that has already been cleaned sent her into a blind fury and rage of insults to include curse words I don't think I've heard since high school and even then not with such a fervor and intensity like I just slept with her husband or something or smashed into her car or burn her house down or something like someone got killed or what I can't imagine would send someone entrusted the duty of managing such a well-known and credentialed establishment. The minute she was done calling me every curse word in the book and actually trying to attack me and get past the security guard who was passed with forcibly removing me who actually was on my side and kept...
Read moreBy far the worst experience we’ve ever had at a Denny’s. When we first waited, the host made us wait over 40 minutes for a table of 7, and refused to seat us all together. 2 times she called us a party of 4 and said she’d have to separate us, until finally they sat us all together. Then when we got to our table, the server Versaun P. was blatantly rude and flat out discriminating against us the entire time we were dining there. We were 4 senior citizens and 3 adults, and we all saw as she gave the other tables around us great service, but didn’t even do the bare minimum for us whatsoever. We asked for refills on coffee and she refused, and only when her other tables got coffee refills did she stop by and give us whatever was left. We asked for more coffee creamer and she never brought more. We asked another server that was walking by if she could give us some coffee and she responded “I’m not your server” and walked away. We asked for no salt or seasoning on the redskin potatoes as the elders aren’t able to, but they came out with a lot of salt and seasoning. We mentioned that we had asked for the redskin potatoes with no seasoning or salt and she didn’t listen nor replace them. We all personally felt and saw that Versaun was discriminating against us, and we don’t know why. She was nice to all other tables except for us, and she was doing these really rude gestures and comments at the table towards us that made us feel really unwelcome. Around halfway through our breakfast we had another person wanting to join us from our group to eat, but they refused stating that the eagle was only for 7, so he had to order to-go. To top it all off, one of the senior citizens dropped one of his pancakes and we asked her if we could get one more please, and she didn’t bring us the replacement until we were leaving. We’ve been to many other Dennys in the area and out of state as well, but our server Versaun P. showed us extreme discrimination, racism, and terrible customer service that we’ve never...
Read moreWould not recommend if you're visiting with a service animal May 25 2025 The service and food was what you expect from a Denny's, I went there because I thought it would be a place to decompress with my family and service dog, I'm epileptic and my dog will get on my lap and lay her head on my right arm to let me know I'm getting ready to have a seizure or close to having one if I'm sitting down. The manger told me that I can't have her in my lap, and instead of explaining to her then what she was doing in a busy restaurant my family suggested I put her down , so I did. At 11:35 I was passing Denny's again to get to our car and Because it had I bathroom I knew about I went to run in because it was slow my family stayed outside while I ran in , when I walked in the manger went off on me for having my dog and she didn't believe it was a service dog and on and on . And she saw me earlier and was too busy to say something then. , I told her she's my alert dog and she still went off more , since I didn't want to pee myself I did run to the bathroom and then left. My seizures are stress and stimulation effected when I went there the first time it was because I needed to be away from the concert they were having and half my family stayed at the concert. On the back to were we are staying my family had to remind me of breathing techniques and talked me down to help me. I'm. Not blaming Denny's the brand but if your a manger waiting for a person with a service dog to be alone to go off on them is bad enough, to do it when they come into your...
