Vegas local, wife and I bought tickets to hear Darude with some of my subordinates at Discopussy next door. Arrived before the venue opened so went into Lucky Day with my wife. A bit crowded but the music/atmosphere was good so we order our first drinks of the night. Another couple asked to share our small table with us. The young man was obviously already inebriated. He went to the rest room and when he came back his drunk self mistook my wife for his and within 10 seconds of seeing us, started swinging at me and an altercation ensued. Police love to stand outside this establishment and they had him handcuffed within a matter of minutes. So far so good. But then, Lucky Day informed us that we were being trespassed from the bar for a year for being involved in an altercation. I was assaulted in their establishment and I get trespassed? I don't agree but fine. There is other bars to go to. Then I realize the gold chain and cross that was a childhood gift that I was wearing was falling off from around my neck. It had been broken in the altercation and the cross and half the chain were missing. I asked the staff I could go in and look for it and they said no. I asked if they would go in and look under the table we were sitting and they said no. So my wife and I go back to our car to cool off. We still had tickets to see Darude so we head to Discopussy, meet my coworkers and begin to have a good time. Suddenly, I am surrounded by security demanding to know how I snuck in. I am bewildered. I tell them I showed my tickets and ID and came in like everyone else. They said that this establishment has the same owner as Lucky Day and that I can't be here either, which was not what they explained to me in front of the police earlier. So they proceed to throw my wife and I out in front of my subordinates. Nice. I go back to Lucky Day the next afternoon to try to speak to a manager about what occurred. My wife and I were honestly enjoying the bar and would love to go back. I wanted to sit down with a manager to review the security footage to show that I didn't do anything wrong. They gave me a business card for the bar manager. I called, and the manager said I would have to speak to a security manager not a bar manager, but wouldn't give me the number to the owner or bar manager, just said that they would ask them to contact me. A few days go by, no one contacts me. I reach out to the bar manager again to let her know that no one contacted me. She said she would reach out again. I wait a few days and nothing. So I reach out to her again and this time her response is annoyed. She said she will let them know and just to wait and someone will for sure contact me. Well no one ever did. Management at this bar sucks. Hope you never get assaulted here, because they will blame you and not give a crap about you or your belongings. Every time I hear someone talk about the Lucky Day, I'm glad to share my crazy experience with them :)
Update 2 weeks after the management responded below that someone would reach out. No...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible spot. Would NEVER recommend. The general manager Michael is extremely rude, pompous and unfortunately knows nothing about customer service. We had a reservation at 9:45p and showed up at 9:35p. While we checked in at that time, we of course expected to wait at least until our reservation time. Once that came and went, I asked about our reservation, and was told we just had to wait for another table to become available. While treated kindly by security, I was immediately told by the hostess, there was nothing she could do. After a little back and forth trying to figure out our options, I asked for a manager as she told me there “was only so much she could do as a hostess”, totally get that. So, the manager, Michael came over and was extremely rude, leaving us to feel very unwelcome. He informed us that we could wait outside until a table became free or hang by the bar. Which I understand to a point but I truly think it’s all about approach and he was very dismissive. When you’re rolling your eyes and aggressive in tone and letting us know there’s nothing you’re willing to do..kind of over it. This place is tired and not worth the hassle of dealing with...
Read moreman i dont even know where to start. this place literally made my trip to vegas worth it. im not into the touristy scene of places and this place was so refreshing; im so grateful for finding it and checking it out. the inside is so beautiful and so aesthetically pleasing. the staff was friendly & inviting, the dj was amazing, the art was quirky & imposing. it was a clean place and i loved every bit of it. now the tequila selection was stunning and the best part about the place was kevin. i was so thankful for this guy! he didnt just try to sell me casamigos! he was actually knowledgeable in tequila & it was so refreshing. he helped me come up with a flight that featured a pechuga mezcal and some traditionally made extra anejos. i will be highly recommending this place to the tequila community and my fellow tequila connoisseurs. And the cocktails were so good! they have way more than the traditional cocktails. real deal craft cocktails that you can tell took some work and a lot of thought. i highly recommend this place, especially if you appreciate real bars and wanna hang out with the locals. then go check out the rest of fremont east. that area is way better...
