On our yearly visit to vegas a few weeks ago ( May 4, 2023). I wanted to visit Whiskey Liquor up Saloon's rotating bar, upon arriving the host Sarah advised us that there were a one or two seats scattered in between other guest ( we needed two seat together) so she sat us a the window seats a few steps from the bar and advised us that bar seating was first come first serve and she believed there were a couple of guest about to leave and we could have their seats, so we decided to go ahead and order drinks with Zabily and wait she also tells us that she will be on the lookout for guest leaving as well and that we could get the seats. Within a few minutes 2 seats became available but when we attempted to sit the bartender DANIEL rudely & aggressively told us to that we couldn't have those seats and that it was a one drink minimum to sit at the bar and the drinks that we had in hand didnt count as if we couldn't or didnt have plans to buy more, he then said that he had some ladies (who happened to be caucasian and came out of nowhere) he was sitting there, So we politely moved to wait on the next 2 available spots, ( when I should have left then) a few minutes later and guest told us that they were leaving and we could have their seats. Daniel took his time to clean the area and didn't come back for a least 10 -15 minutes NEVER asking if we needed anything. But when he did he asked us to move down for another caucasian couple due to there were empty seats scattered between us at which time I refused stating to him that he didn't make the accommodation for us and he then said that we needed to leave HIS bar and that he wouldn't serve us and began to give us a bill, I then asked to see a manager, Jennifer arrived and told us that we would need to leave the bar and that unfortunately she can't make him serve us. I then began to explain to her our entire experience and what both the hostess and server told us which she also confirmed #1 That he couldn't save or withhold any seats. #2 It was first come first serve. She also advised me that I wasn't the only complaint that evening about DANIEL rudeness and lack of customer service and offered to pay for our drinks and we could sit elsewhere I told her that i would perfer to leave. She proceeded to give me a card with the senior managers name on it ( Pierre Cosio) and that he would be available on that Monday to voice my concerns and that she would bring this up in their next meeting, I told her that I would personally visit again on Monday since i would as still be in Vegas, but decided to write this review instead. While leaving, other guests saw and heard what happened and said they also had a bad experience with Daniel with his racist and rude service. I would like to say thank you to both the hostess and server and Jennifer the manager on duty for your professional and friendly service. If you are a person of color I would think twice on the bar area if DANIEL is the bartender. I will not visit again because I refuse to be treated with...

The service both Morgan and Zahily gave us was absolutely incredible again THANK YOU 😀 by far the best service we had for our Weeks stay in Downtown...
Now onto the food and Atmosphere. Again incredible...!!! It was so good the first time, that we definitely had to go back for a second time...
We started the first time with the Onion Rings as a starter... That was a great start with more to come, Definitely recommend the Onion Rings 👍👍 for the first time I had the Bacon Cheese Burger ( Medium ) with Coleslaw, and my brother had the Shrimp Po' Boy sandwich. And both were incredibly good.
The second time we started with the Fried Pickles 🥒 only because the side pickles they give you with your meal are simply amazing ( done in their homemade brine ) ( I want that brine recipe lol ) So the Fried Pickles arrived OMG they're so good we highly recommend the Fried Pickles 👍👍 and this time because my brother said the Shrimp Po' Boy sandwich was so good I had to try it, with Coleslaw again ( I think they use some of the pickle brine in the Coleslaw mix ). Once again it was SOOOO GOOD , and my brother had the Chicken Sandwich if I remember correctly. And he said it was very good as well. Everything was so good and service was above and beyond.
All of the other food that we noticed coming out ALL looked amazing...
So please don't hesitate to go to the Whiskey Licker Up Saloon as it starts right away as soon as you walk up the stairs, with the great friendly service.
Also we were told that during the NFL season that the Bar part opens up earlier for the 10am games.
And that when the shows start in the evening at the 1st Street they open up the side windows so you can listen to Alter Ego and the other live music that...
Read moreWhiskey lickerup! Friendly greeting! Walked in, clocked the menu—Blue Moon by the stein, lovely jubbly. Having graced this fine establishment before, I knew I had a choice: boot or stein. Naturally, they brought me a boot. Not ideal, but swiftly sorted after some passive-aggressive “What-ho! Who’s to blame for this blunder?” mutterings. But, we all have our off days.
Then came the food. By Joseph, the portions! Massive! Colossal! Utterly reckless levels of food. Nobody—not a single one of us—stood a chance against the sheer volume. Meanwhile, the wife and sister-in-law opted for soft drinks, entirely oblivious to their refillable nature. Before they could blink, bam!—magically replenished, like some kind of soda-fuelled superheroes.
Not only was the grub abundant, but blimey, it tasted fantastic. Been here before, would come again, will probably need to bring a wheelbarrow next time to cart off the leftovers. Speaking of which, we had a grand plan—share the feast with the many homeless souls in Vegas. Alas, didn’t cross paths with any, so went full covert ops and strategically placed the food where we reckon a hungry person might uncover the goods. Mission accomplished? Who knows. But felt a touch philanthropic, which is always a...
