Pizza on the Beach — Restaurant in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

Worst experience ever! 10/10 do NOT recommend! We got to the restaurant today at 4pm-ish. It was very slow for a Friday afternoon, not a customer in the place. The older woman at the counter was very short and rude with us. We had to clean our own table before sitting down. We placed our order then we’re informed there was no chicken made, when we asked if they could make some the lady copped an attitude then told us it would be way over 45 mins to cook a chicken breast. We had the other half of our party order first while we figured out a different item to order. After ordering, The other half of our party received their food before we did so we expected our food to come shortly, after 20mins of waiting we asked the lady, who informed us she forgot to put our pizza order in. She finally brought the pizza out and rudely tossed it on the table without a word, no apology for the wait or her mistake nothing. The pizza was burnt! We had also ordered a to go order of a single slice of pizza and a salad as well and we let her know we were ready for the to go order, she gives us the order and the single slice is cold! The $10 salad was smaller than a $2 bag of lettuce and was so slimy and wilted it was inedible! There were even pidgeons walking around by the kitchen! How unsanitary! Very disappointed in this “award” winning pizza joint! Will never go back and will tell everyone locally and visiting not to go...

5/19/25 IDK, we got another takeout pie and it was a major let down. Mostly burnt on the bottom and lacking in toppings. The photo is of a works pie without onions. What was delivered was a 2 meats with mushrooms. Just barely edible, not terrible but not really even good. We've eaten their pies for the last 3 or4 years now, so I'm not a drama queen first time hater.... But this will be our last time. Sorry to say that and we'll miss them but quality has suffered over the years IMHO.

Sept. 2024 Great pies we always get slices or a whole when we're here. Back up to standards, delicious and HUGE! A good deal at $26 for this monster. Lots of toppings and flavorful sauce. Picture is for the works pie.

June 2024 We always get a pie or slices when we are in the area. It's usually pretty good. Not this time. We got the supreme whole pizza. For $26 bucks no less. WAY too many onions. Made it almost inedible. Like I said, IDK maybe it was just this time, or a new pie maker but this visit was terrible. We love the pies, so we will return in September, but we will watch them make the pie next time. This was a pickup...

I have never been so mistreated on a restaurant in my life. We were going to order for our family (8 persons), when my father in law, which by the way does not speak English, tried to use the restroom while we were ordering, i hard a man yelling at him, making a scene.

My father in law was disrespected and prevented from entering the restroom. When I heard him yielding at him, i went to see what was going on! Everyone was looking at us, we felt really embarrassed of the role situation.

When I approached to see what was going on, he said, this is for customer only, Go! Out! Out! I explained that THAT Man was my father in law, he called me a liar!

When I asked if he worked there, he gave the atitudes that he owned the place! And I asked him back if that was the way he was used to treat customers!?

This is once again in my feeling and entire family, a racist and prejudiced manner! The owner is rude and has no right to treat people like that’!
