06/03/2023- Been here many times since, usually on Saturday mornings. My advice is get on the wouldn't before you go (Yelp). Much shorter wait when you get to the restaurant. My first visit was the anomaly. I've had good food, good service, and pleasant experiences since. ETA (07/22/2019): We took another try at the Original Pancake House, and this time it was worth our while. We sat down at 12:02, our waitress took the order at 12:09, and we were served at 12:25. Everything was served as we had ordered. It was again very tasty, which wasn't a problem the first time around. The manager took care of us and made me feel like she cared about our business, her restaurant, and our satisfaction. Should she have had to personally assure our experience? No. But, having seen a problem from our first visit she cared enough to make our second worthwhile, and because of that we will pay the Original Pancake House another visit yet. I am amending my review to four stars. I would give five just for Kim, the manager, and I would encourage them to never let her go. 07/04/2019: Our food took forever. The table next to us got served first and ordered after us. My wife's eggs came without avocado. Food arrived at 1:35, we sat at 12:50, ordered at 1:03. When asked about how the table next to us got food first, the waitress replied, " It's a holiday. I got it out as fast as I could." I ordered a skillet with peppers and onions. The table next to us ordered omletes. I think my complaint about the wait time affected our relationship with the waitress because the only thing she did afterward was bring the check. Which still had us being charged for the higher price eggs Benedict, until I asked for an adjustment. Kim the manger and I had a nice discussion at the end of my visit and she invited us back to "make things right." I will update this review upon our return.

As someone who is always on the go, I appreciate finding restaurants to keep up with my busy schedule. If you're considering visiting this restaurant, I highly suggest using the Yelp app to put your party in ahead of time. This will save you time and guarantee that you'll have a table waiting for you when you arrive. While the restaurant may be busy, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They work hard to ensure that every customer is taken care of and happy. I was impressed with their efficiency and professionalism. One issue that I had with the restaurant was the acoustics. If there are a lot of kids in the restaurant, the noise can be borderline unbearable. It can be challenging to hear your own conversation, which can take away from the dining experience. However, this is not a dealbreaker for me as the food makes up for it. Speaking of the food, it is fantastic! I cannot emphasize enough how delicious it is. The menu offers a variety of options to choose from, and each dish is packed with flavor. I highly recommend trying the Dutch baby – it was my personal favorite. In addition to the great food, the prices are also reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised by the bill at the end of my meal, considering the quality of the food and service. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for great food and friendly service. Just be sure to keep in mind the acoustics if you're sensitive to noise. Don't hesitate to use the Yelp app to make a reservation in advance, especially during peak hours. The food is worth it!

I had a fun breakfast this morning at The Original Pancake House with a mastermind group of my Realtor friends! Perks of eating with the group—I get to snap a pic of a few different entrees! The camera eats first! 😉 The sampling today included: -Full fresh fruit crepes (3) with assorted seasonal berries and also bananas. The crepes were substantial and the fruit was ripe and plentiful. -Hawaiian pancakes (6) with sweet crushed pineapple inside every bite of pancake, lots of shredded coconut and my own pitcher of yummy coconut syrup to top it off. I’ll take coconut anything! -The Roadhouse skillet had everything you want for breakfast. Layered on the bottom were fresh cut hash browns piled with grilled peppers and caramelized onions, then topped with two sausage patties, and also your choice of eggs. Includes three pancakes of your choice. 😋🥞 They also offer a variety of waffles, omelettes, French toast, breakfast burritos, a million different varieties of pancake deliciousness, AND their specialties of The Dutch Baby, The Dutch Treat, and The Apple Pancake which looks absolutely divine!! Going back for that one. The portions were huge, and the food is top quality! On this Friday morning, the place was packed and I heard that the wait on a Saturday morning can be over an hour, so be sure to go onto Yelp to join the waitlist in advance. They close in the early afternoon, so look up their hours—this is a fantastic place when you want a hearty breakfast-brunch-lunch!

Terrible experience! Don't waist your time going to this horrible place. We waited to be seated 50min. When we finally were seated, and ordered our food, we waited for over an hour without food, two of the tables that had arrived after us were served before us, when asked our waiter, he said other waitress had taken our food and given it to other customers, and they were going to make us the food now, no apologies. Then I went to talk to the "supervisor" and explained her what had happened, and asked her I'd we would be given a good discount for all the inconvenience and and delay, she said she would find out what happened and go talk to us at our table. The waiter came back to give us coffee, and I asked him if the supervisor had talk to him about us, he said yes and that he had explained what happened why our order was not served as it should have been, I asked if she said anything about giving us a discount, he said no. So I went to try and talk to the supervisor again, she had the worst attitude, and said "I'm not done investing, I will talk to you when I'm done" investing as if it was so hard to figure out how they messed up. She told me to go back to my table that she needed more time. I then called my husband and told him we were leaving, he came to the front of the restaurant, and we left. The manager came running after us, not to apologize, but mad saying it was our fault for not wanting for her "investigation" that she was trying to find out what time we were seated etc. I told her she would bow have all the time she needed to "investigate" because we were leaving, after being there for over 2 hours, she was nasty, and said don't come back lol as if we're were even thinking of going back, I told her f u. She said I've been called worse. I told her I wonder why!? Terrible customer service, crowded, dirty, and a nasty nasty supervisor who can't handle the mistakes they make in a smart way, she thinks that by trying to find fault in the customers for what they did wrong, she can them look better. I mean, follow us to the street to confront us about their own mistake, was unbelievable. I had been more than patient inside the restaurant waiting to see if they would offer a way to repair what they did wrong. But I guess is to much to ask to a "supervisor who doesn't have the qualifications or the brain to handle mistakes her restaurant makes. Forgot to mention that another customer talked to me as I was leaving and said she was very sorry about what we had just went through, that she had heard everything, and she felt very sorry about how we...

My experience with this location has been very poor. We have ordered to go online several times. On one occasion the food was 30+ minutes past the scheduled pick up time. We got to sit and watch as the stressed manager yelled at her employees in front of customers. On another occasion we went to pick up our food waited 20+ minutes when the hostess finally realized the food had been sitting there getting cold the entire time.

During our most recent visit, after the long wait, we were finally sat down and then waited almost 20 minutes before our server even came and talked to us. Food was served but one of our members didn’t get all of the food that they ordered so the majority of people ate without him. At about an hour since we had been sitting, and while some of our family was still eating, the same manager that on a previous visit was yelling at employees in front of customers came and asked us how much longer we were going to be. Keep in mind we waited 20 minutes for our server to talk to us and then had to wait an additional 10+ minutes for some of our party’s food. I’m guessing this is why the server brought us our check and then awkwardly stood there until we gave her our card to pay. It also might be why they took some of our utensils forcing some people to finish food with spoons instead of forks. I understand that they had another large party that they wanted to seat but it wasn’t our fault that the service was horrible. This manager needs to be properly trained on how to be kind to employees and also needs some customer service skills. If anything she should of been coming to apologize for the service taking so long and offering a discount for our party’s food not coming at the same time but instead she rather rudely asked when we were going to leave.

I recommend going to Denny’s, IHOP or Black Bear Diner you will get much better service especially with the current manager they have running this establishment. If I was an owner I would seriously consider how much turn over this location has had. People leave managers not jobs. Customers won’t come back if this is the service they receive. I know I won’t be coming back. You need new management. Just look at other reviews being left and look at how I’m guessing the same manager is responding to them. That speaks for itself.

And for said manager, before you leave a snarky reply to my review please think twice because whatever you post I will share with corporate....

All of you that are triggered by wait times and the waitlist have no common sense. Yes, guests who sign up on the waitlist are prioritized. It’s a system to hold your spot in line until you get there. You get there, you check in (WITH YOUR ENTIRE PARTY) and you will be sat shortly. Yes, those that sign up and check in are at the top. Perhaps you should try the same. I can’t believe I have to say this, but yes, your entire party has to be present to be sat. There’s no reason you need to take up a table for an extra hour waiting on your party just for you to tip your server $4 on a $100 check. Some of y’all have never worked in the restaurant industry, and trust me, it shows. A reality check is needed. I understand waiting an hour, or up to 2 hours can be frustrating, but what do you expect on weekends? Y’all all have the same idea of guzzling 7 Mountain Dews and eating omelettes on the weekends, and everyone has to wait. If you don’t want to wait, McDonald’s is just down the street. None of your high expectations justifies treating a 19 year old host/hostess like garbage. Screaming in the face of employees is CRAZY. I’ve seen guests SPIT in a manager’s face. Like what is actually wrong with y’all? I’d ask if you were raised in a barn, but even chickens and pigs have more manners and grace. Your entitlement needs to be checked so bad. To the Sunday crowd: Y’all just came from church and are the worst people to deal with. I’m just letting you know right now, Jesus would be highly disappointed in you. Start actually listening to your bishop’s sermons. Anyway, all the employees are awesome and are just doing their best. If you get that internal urge to tell them to smile, maybe consider they’re not smiling because dweebs like you are screaming in their face and asking how much longer it will be every five seconds. The food is good. Elite choices: Bacon, French Toast (all options), Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Blueberry Pancakes, and Pumpkin Pancakes. Also, the gluten free choices are just as good, if not better, than the regular options. The hot chocolate is really good. Last thing: “Ambiance”. It’s a restaurant; it’s loud. It’s loud everywhere. There is no “quieter” spot. I swear some of y’all were dropped on your heads in infancy. It’s a public restaurant, it WILL BE LOUD. You want quiet? Go to a library. Or better...
