TL;DR - Overpriced, underwhelming portions, and strangely salty hoison sauce. Look elsewhere if on a budget, but if you don't mind the price point, it's an alright eat.
I've only ordered the pho combination, so I can't say anything about the rest of their vast offerings(they have a LOT), but their small and large bowl for pho is not too different in size (and only a dollar different), and unfortunately they're more on the smaller end. You can get a lot more pho for less at the other two nearby pho restaurants (not even a mile away I think). Off the top of my head, it's 8.95 for a small, and 9.95 for a "large", I don't quite remember, but their significantly higher price point definitely stood out to me.
On the side note, this restaurant interestingly serves sushi, at an extraordinarily premium price. I've witnessed someone order a $6 2-piece tuna sushi and watched them bring two finger-sized rolls with a dollop of 'wasabi' and some pickled ginger slices to accompany it. I would not pay $6 for two tiny pieces of sushi and do not recommend doing so(it seems to be priced to convince you to fork over $12 for a full order of sushi).
The broth and meat in the pho bowl were pretty decent, the noodles lacked the oomph of the broth, but they were passable. If you wanted a small meal and didn't mind the price tag, this could suit you. I'd like to emphasize the meat here, as they were quite flavorful and the steak was pleasantly tender. That said, if you wanted to fill yourself up, the quantity leaves much to be desired. One final thing to add is that the broth was significantly hotter than the other restaurants I've visited, and they seemed to be bringing them out as they're ready instead of waiting until the entire order was done to bring them out. Mind the heat or risk burning your tongue!
The condiments on the side of the table is your standard hoison sauce, a sweet-salty thick dark sauce, and sriracha sauce bottle (rooster sauce). I regretfully didn't take the chance to taste the sriracha sauce itself, but as it was the usual iconic brand, I'd assume it's the same as any other restaurant, but this restaurant used a different brand of hoison sauce to the usual ones I see. Of all the pho restaurants I've been to, hoison sauce has typically been more on the sweeter end, but this particular brand was more on the salty-end. Do make sure to taste it before adding it into your bowl of pho or you'll ruin your meal with it's overpowering salty taste. Of course, it could also have just been a bad bottle on my table, make your own judgements prior to consuming.
Lastly, the plate of soy bean sprouts, lime slices, jalapeno slices, and the herb thing that escapes my mind; they're no different from any other pho restaurants, except for the jalapeno, they were actually spicy. Take care of throwing them into your bowl lest you regret it.
Finally, if you're looking for recommendations for other pho restaurants, the other two nearby restaurants is my personal local recommendation, but if you're a traveler that's willing to go the extra mile, the very best I've ever had so far was the one in Dallas, TX called "Bistro B". It's quite far from Lewisville, but if you're wanting a special treat, they're definitely...
Read moreSadly, today is the last time I will order from this restaurant. My husband and I loved their pho soup as we would order carry out frequently since we moved to the DFW area. Today we ordered our usual filet mignon pho soup and the broth was overly greasy which ruined the entire meal. I called to let them know and the nice girl on the phone apologized and confirmed that this has happened before with their broth but, assured me she would have her manager call me back when he was back in 5 minutes. I never receive a call so after almost 1 hour of waiting I called back. The manager answered the phone and was already seemingly disappointed, he then told me this is how the soup always is because that is how “Asians” like it and instead of offering to replace the meals he offered a refund if I could bring the orders back. At this point, we only had one order left since the first order was already discarded once we saw how greasy the food was. This is not how the soup usually is because we order the same thing a lot. When I arrived with the one order the manager then told me he could only refund for one which was fine with me, but he also continued to say that the greasy broth is how the broth always is after I told him my husband and I order this regularly from them and it is never this way. I am more disappointed in the way the issue was handled than the food being greasy. As a frequent customer I couldn’t believe the way the manager handled this issue. We have never complained before and the first time we ever had an issue we were treated as if it was our fault. I will never return to this restaurant since this is the way that they treat their customers. This could have been handled much better, especially since we order there often and they always know us...

On a blustery October afternoon, Pho Bistro II delivered the perfect antidote to the chill: a bowl of beef pho that stands out among the three nearby spots I frequent. The N9 beef and tendon pho in the BIG bowl size featured a broth that was light, naturally sweet, and refreshingly clean—no trace of MSG or artificial flavor boosters. It’s the kind of broth you could sip solo on a cold day and feel instantly warmed.
The restaurant itself is spacious with high ceilings and a few large screens near the entrance. I arrived at 12:45 PM and was seated immediately in a cozy booth. The staff was attentive, and the eclectic music mix—from Rihanna to Billy Joel to Counting Crows—added a quirky charm to the experience.
The pho came with the usual fresh sides: bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, and lime. While the portion of meat and noodles was slightly less than other spots, the rice noodles here were more delicate and perfectly heated, unlike the soggy textures I’ve encountered elsewhere. The beef was tender, and the overall balance of flavors was spot-on.
For its standout broth and thoughtful execution, Pho Bistro II earns a solid 5 out of 5...
