I arrived alone at 850pm, having been on and off airplanes since 6am. Tired, ready for a glass of wine and a nice dinner! Restaurant appeared upscale, but comfortable. I sat myself, waitress hollered to me from a separate room. Finally she came to my table and asked if I would like a menu. Yes? And a glass of water to begin, please. She fetched me one. She came back to take my order. I ordered a Steak Frites, medium rare, and a glass of wine. Steak Frites arrived by the chef, rather well done I found a moment later, but still no wine. The waitress checked on the lively table next to me 5 times during their meal. I had packed my napkin and silverware on my plate and pushed to the edge of the table and had finished for a solid 10 minutes before being asked if I would like a dessert. Too tired to make a scene, I asked for my check, and to my surprise, a charge for the wine I never received. I left a note for the staff detailing this. This is unacceptable. A $50/plate dinner per person should at very minimum come with a refill on the glass of water and a simple, "How does everything taste for you?" I could have easily run a $200 tab tonight, but I stop with a $34 dinner. If I am arriving to Chicago for another trip like this, it's likely I will avoid the hotel entirely because of the convenience of having a restaurant that CARES about its patrons, and it is a shame. This is a beautiful property and I am otherwise enjoying my stay....

I made a reservation for a large group via email per Liberty Tavern procedure. I received an email back from Kelly saying my request was pending, and then another saying they could accommodate us and attaching menus. Kelly said I could call if I had any questions. The large group arrived for our dinner and they couldn't find the reservation. 4 hosts tapped furiously on ipads while the manager interrogated me as to why I had not confirmed. (The dining area was only sparsely occupied at 6 pm when we arrived.). I read the email from Kelly which made no mention of any confirmation. She then asked if I had opened the attachments (menus) and I said I had not. She said if I had only opened the attachments things might be different. I said I was familiar with the menu and didn't need to review it. Finally, she asked me if I had thanked Kelly for her email. I had not sent a separate thank you (my organization strongly frowns on frivolous emails). Finally the manager said "I can't seat you" -- with no apology or even any sense of regret. We left. Here's the good part: Mazaro Italian restaurant down the street was so gracious and accommodating. Their wait staff hustled to pull together three tables. The restaurant was quite full too! The waiter was one of the friendliest and most competent I have ever had. The food was delicious, especially the delectable pastas. Skip Liberty Tavern and head down the...

During my recent business trip to Chicago, I had the pleasure of dining at Liberty Tavern, located in the Hilton Rosemont/Chicago O’Hare Hotel. It was the perfect conclusion to a long workday, offering a relaxing and upscale atmosphere that immediately put me at ease.

The bar staff at Liberty Tavern deserves special recognition. They were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary restrictions, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Their dedication to customer satisfaction truly stands out.

The wine selection was nothing short of spectacular, featuring a variety of options that cater to diverse palates. Additionally, the signature Margarita cocktails were superb—perfectly balanced and refreshingly delicious.

I opted for the Harvest Salad with Salmon, which was both tasty and exceptionally fresh. The flavors were vibrant and well-complemented by the high quality of the ingredients. It was a delightful and healthful choice that I would highly recommend.

Overall, Liberty Tavern provides an elegant and comfortable setting ideal for unwinding after a busy day. Whether you're a business traveler or a local, this restaurant offers an exemplary dining experience with its exceptional service and...

WARNING; PLEASE READ! This place is 100% the best food you will find in this complex of hotels that caters to airline malfunctions. Everything I ate was very very good. The cocktails are just as good as anything at a hip bar in SOMA San Francisco. The service is excellent for a lobby bar. It seems family owned or operated by a hardworking couple and maybe their adult children, and they seem like they work too hard, but it shows in their attention to detail. As you might guess, this isn’t a one star review. But personally I only read the one stars. And I’m very happy I found this place serving food at 10:30pm on a Monday. Even after asking the front desk people at the double tree that assured me Liberty Tavern wasn’t serving food late and I should order Pizza from some shady flyer they probably get a kick back from. Please check this place out, lovely people, great food, excellent drinks. They accept the stupid $12 voucher American Airlines hands out too. ;)

Great ambiance and the staff was gracious and pleasant. Food...hmmmm just ok. Had fish tacos for $17... Where 's the fish? It was alright... Corn tortilla should have been grilled and beans tasted like bush beans from a can with left over bfast grilled onions thrown in to make it look home cooked. Nope not fooled. Sword fish was rather bland. Probably shouldn't have ordered fish in the mid west...ha ha..can u say land lock...had their pub burger 4 $17 last night and it was definitely better. Wine and Goose IPA was delicious, but hard to mess up. Again staff was great and service was quick and very pleasant...this always makes the experience better even when the food is over priced and not that great.
