Aragon is a cozy spot conveniently located across the street from the Lied Center, making it an ideal pre-event stop for drinks or a meal. Founded with a quaint vibe, it's a beautifully decorated space.

During our visit, my party of four kicked things off kicked off with some drinks, including the Moscow Mule served in locally made Handlebend mugs, a thoughtful touch. However, the weight of the mug and the lack of a bottom to the coozie made it a bit precarious.

For starters, we tried the black and blue meatballs, which were flavorful with great spice but slightly dry. Moving on to the entrees, I sampled both the cheesesteak and the everything bagel salad. The cheesesteak was decent, though the meat was a tad charred and dry, and some pieces were gristly. On a cheesteak, I am going to need that meat to be heavily seasoned. The everything bagel salad, on the other hand, was a revelation. I will preface that I am addicted to Caesar dressing and absolutely am delighted when restaurants put their own spin on it. With that, the tahini Caesar dressing was absolute perfection, and the combination of flavors with the black sesame and bib lettuce was divine. It stole the show for me, and I could have happily devoured multiple servings.

One of my friends opted for the soup, which leaned more towards a thick stew consistency due to its richness and being served on a plate. While not what we expected, it was delicious nonetheless and something I would reorder.

Overall, Aragon is worth a visit for a casual dinner or drinks, especially if you're attending an event at the Lied Center or seeking a new hip spot in Lincoln. With a few tweaks to some dishes, it has the potential to be a standout dining...

We tried Aragon last night and it was delicious! I had the Blue ($20) and my husband had the Popper($20), with there seasoned fries. The burger was delicious but I wish it had more blue cheese on it. The meat quality was evident however. It was juicy and well seasoned. The fries were extra salty, which I loved. The sauce with the fries was good but has a peculiar taste that I couldn't put my finger on, but it was just okay.

The service was great, we got right in and ordered. My husband had their signature whiskey sour (made with brandy so brandy sour?), which he said was amazing.

My biggest complaint is that the space was tiny. There were only like 7 tables and the rest was bar seating. We sat at the window area, a long table on the front on the restaurant. And it was a bit of an awkward space. It was right by the host area and didn't have any place for waiting patrons so as people came in, they were just like at our table. Why don't restaurants make waiting area anymore? It was strange. Also I know as they get busier, they are just going to dissuade people from waiting and the wait will be inevitable with the small seating area.

Overall, the food was delicious but a bit pricey for burger. Even though it is gourmet, I think $20 is a bit much to make me a "regular" there. Would...

Atmosphere, service, and location was great.

I was there on a Saturday night and they were out of BOTH of their tap beers (one had been out for days), as well as the only canned beer I cared for - we ended up sticking with water. One would think they’d be pretty stocked up for a Saturday night dinner service, being across from the Lied Center in downtown Lincoln…

We ordered the Philly w/ potato salad du jour, and duck burger with sesame garlic fries. Most things were good, but my burger was supposed to come with arugula, and there was spinach on it instead. Brought this up to the server, she said it “might look different since it comes from our local source on 84th”. It was absolutely not the peppery, arugula shaped leaf - which would have helped the otherwise sort of bland burger - it was clearly a round spinach leaf. On top of that, I didn’t taste much duck confit or foi gras butter… just the purplish mustard they had on there. Definitely not worth it for their most expensive burger.

For a $50 meal with no drinks this was pretty underwhelming. Zero issue with the service, hope they can get their...

Imagine sitting in a cozy, classy (albeit a bit small) restaurant that has great gourmet burgers with some friends and enjoying a pint. This is just that type of place. A wide variety of burgers made with excellent beef, potato buns, and served with fries of varying flavor profiles, there’s something for everyone. The dinner menu has a few added extra surprises, namely high-end steaks that are on par with the best places in town. The fries came come with a variety of sauces, including a bacon jam (which was a tad too greasy, but delicious nonetheless). There are several other sides to select from if you don’t want fries, including a side salad with butter lettuce and Green Goddess dressing. The atmosphere is sophisticated without being overly fancy. There is a nice patio area to sit outside, weather permitting (although traffic can be kind of loud). The service was excellent and timely, including pleasant smiles and thoughtful suggestions. Overall, a great place to have a high quality burger and share one of the many local brews with some friends.

If you like seasoned fries, burgers with lots of toppings, and yummy cocktails then this is your place! An opinion based on my own personal preferences: I wish the fries were a less seasoned. The sauce they gave with the fries was pretty good, but the strong flavor of the fries competed. I also don’t like brioche buns and do not understand why this has become such a fad with new burger places. Last thing- they seem to have really high quality meat. Don’t cover it up with so many toppings! Let the quality meat shine through! Otherwise, I thought the atmosphere was relaxing considering they are just getting started! The service was great and quick. I ordered the dark manhattan and it was delicious.
