DO NOT MOBILE ORDER. Actually, don't order at all. thx :)
Higher-Rated Qdoba that is 5 minutes away: 20561 Haggerty Rd, Northville.
Restaurants have two obligations to maintain customer satisfaction: good food, and good service. I can justly say this property has neither.
During my two, and only visits I will make to this store, I have had the most frustrating experiences. My first visit was a mobile order. Upon delivery I was handed a burrito and a receipt. Thinking I could trust the severs who work here. I unfortunately received a burrito with missing ingredients (full order was a seasoned ground beef burrito with brown rice, pinto beans, queso, guacamole, shredded cheese, lettuce, corn salsa, and salsa Verde). The burrito I bit into consisted of two things: brown rice and ground beef.
On the second visit, I made sure to order in-person. I was given all the ingredients I asked for, which was confusing, given the last time I ordered, they seemed to miss the point of having an ingredient list printed out for them. Anyhow, once I made it to checkout, I was 'greeted' by an employee who got a little heated because I hadn't told him "I am a rewards account member, and I have a barcode on my phone which I would like to scan". Once I scanned my barcode after the order had been rung up, he told me I was supposed to mention if "I was a rewards account member, and if I had a barcode on my phone which I would like to scan". After restarting the checkout process, I scanned my barcode which applied the 1 Free Entree Coupon I received from Qdoba Customer Service (Yes, it's that simple. use your app to report an issue with order, and you'll get a free one next time!). Was it my fault that I did not know I had to scan it before the checkout process begins? Or should he have mentioned that to the customer. I'll leave that up to you to decide.
That is the end of my experience at 16971 Newburgh Rd in Livonia, and hopefully anyone else's I can warn!
If you've made it this far, please save yourself the trouble and go to the Qdoba in Northville: it's 5 minutes away from this one.
Hopefully the owner of this restaurant has seen the reviews left by others, even if they discount this one. I have seen many people complain about the same things; service and food quality. I've seen people complain about the restaurant's turnover, and poor training. But I think the root cause is a lack of management. It's the manager's job to maintain their customer's satisfaction, and it shows that this store is not capable of doing so.
I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but I find it important for us to use online media to share experiences to others who may want insight. Also, I'm at work so I'm technically getting paid to...
Read moreI work down the street from this location and have been coming here about once a month for the past couple years, and we order catering from them for our office of 50 people a few times a year. Today I met a colleague for lunch at this Qdoba at 11:45am and we waited in line until about 12:10pm until we got to the front of the line (there were only 4 people ahead of us in line when we arrived). When we got to the front, we asked for the mango shrimp bowls (there are advertisements all over the inside & outside of the restaurant highlighting that shrimp is back so we were excited). The guy behind the counter said there was no shrimp. When we asked what he meant, he said no shrimp until they make it, and that will take 7 minutes. We said ok that's fine, and stood to the side. We waited about 15 minutes for the shrimp to be made, and when he was ready to start our bowls the same guy looked at the lady beside him and told her he needed mango salsa. She said that would take another couple of minutes and she continued to make a couple of bowls for online customers. A few minutes went by and he asked her for the mango salsa again, at which point she took off to the back area while on her cell phone. The guy continued to make orders that were coming through (online orders being printed out of their printer?), and when we asked him to please start making our bowls and we would just wait for the salsa he was quite rude and said "I will soon", and just kept making other orders. I asked him to speak with the manager, and he said the manager was the lady who ran off to use her phone and make salsa. I told him I was disappointed that at that time we had been standing in the restaurant for 45 minutes and he hadn't even started our order yet, and he replied "Well, it's not MY fault!" with a bunch of attitude. He was purely miserable, and didn't even try to fix it. We are not complainers by any stretch, but this was just too much. It was at that point we decided to walk out, and will never walk into that location again. 2 lost customers and a local business who won't cater from them again either. We ate next door at the Brunch Cafe and had an awesome lunch with quick...
Read moreReview of Qdoba: Extremely Disappointing Experience
My recent visit to Qdoba was nothing short of a disaster, leaving me thoroughly disappointed with the entire experience. I placed an online order for my family and arrived promptly at the designated time. To my dismay, there were no workers in sight when I entered, along with another waiting customer. We waited in the lobby for a frustratingly long 10 minutes without any acknowledgment or service.
Concerned, I ventured into the back of the kitchen, only to find two workers attempting to jump-start a car outside the back door. By this time, there were five people waiting in line, and online orders were piling up.
When the manager finally addressed me, he informed me that my order would be delayed further because he needed to attend to the customers already waiting. This delay caused me to be late for a meeting I had scheduled. When my order was finally prepared, I discovered that two of the items were incorrect—they had made burritos instead of bowls. This necessitated additional time to remake the orders correctly.
To add insult to injury, upon returning home, I found that my daughter's bowl was missing several toppings. Despite these numerous mishaps, the manager compensated two other customers with complimentary meals due to the delays, while I was offered nothing more than a free fountain soda.
I have previously been disappointed with the service at this location, but convenience had led me to return. However, after this experience, I will not be returning. The numerous mistakes, lackadaisical attitude of the staff, and the open back door throughout our wait have left me questioning the restaurant's adherence to food safety standards.
In conclusion, my visit to Qdoba was an unequivocal failure, and I regret having chosen this location for my...
