Interesting option for Indian food (and Indian theamed) food in Park Meadows Mall area of Lone Tree.
Actually in the mall, with basic restaurant ambiance. Interesting seating - not bad, but all open (no real booths).
First, to the food: I tried Mongolian Chicken - tasty (& pictured), but not Indian at all, the chicken hot and sour soup - again, tasty...but, again, not truly Indian, lamb chops - mild and seemed okay...but overcooked (perhaps this is Indian style?), Chicken Masala - the worst of the dishes I tried...too mild and tiny and few pieces of chicken, finally garlic & plain naan - very good (& pictured).
Frankly, if you want more authentic and consistently tasty Indian food there are a few better options - my suggestion would be Sherpa House in Golden (but a 30-minute drive away).
Rating: For food to price point I considered, but did not, take one star off - a bit pricey for what you get (but in pricey Lone Tree Mall and the Denver restaurant scene is silly pricey since Covid). I took a star off for two of the serving dishes have large chunks of glaze missing - this is an appearance and potential health issue (see photo for example). I also took a second star off for mixed quality of service: Examples - my fork was a salad type, and I was not able to get a server's attention to replace until end of the meal, no water service after initial bottle (that did not even fill all the guests glasses the first time), and oddly no visit from any server or manager to the table after the food was served until the bill was brought. I complained the the server that brought my bill and she said "okay, ill bring back you bill" (huh?).
So, really a mixed bag - if someone else was paying I would consider going back, but I would not spend my own money.
I would call this...and this would include me, so no offense...white upper-middle class people Indian food. But, I saw a few south Asian's eating here....so maybe they order off menu and...
Read moreThis was the worst dining experience my wife and I have ever had. This is also the first sit-down restaurant review I have ever left in my life. I made a reservation for us on Valentine’s Day as a surprise. We had never been there before so I thought we would give it a shot. From the second we walked through the door, until the second we left, it was nothing but a nightmare. We were 100% forgotten about in a tiny booth in the corner of the restaurant. I had to stand up and go find a random employee every step of the process. They refused to help us, almost like they were doing it on purpose. I would do anything to get some security camera footage of our experience to share with the GM of this place. When I was finally able to get our “waiter” to come take our order (by having to get up and ask the hostess if I could talk to the manager) the guy was grinning and giggling and glossy-eyed and kinda leaning over and mumbling, but did not say anything. My wife and I asked him if he was okay, because we actually thought he might have needed some assistance or something. We realized pretty quickly that he was probably just starting to feel the effects of an edible or psychedelic he had eaten, or something. We had honestly never experienced anything like it in our whole lives. There is so much to write here, but the short of it is that the service at this place is terrible, like every person on the floor either had special needs, or was on weird drugs, or was an actual zombie. It was like a really bizarre Twilight Zone episode. Luckily, my wife is super chill, and we didn’t let it ruin our night, but it was a waste of money and time and it really could have! The food is probably pretty good, but we were in total disbelief and had basically lost our appetite by the time it was...
Read moreUsed to be a big fan of the place at the original location. When it first moved to the mall, it was ok, but the original charm was lost. Now we’ve come back and am currently sitting in the restaurant and not having an enjoyable experience at all. Crumpled up paper drink & lunch menus were shoved into oversized plastic menu holders containing the dinner menus. The servers are attending the dining room in hairnets and latex gloves. We were asked to keep our used silverware on the table from the cauliflower appetizer dish, and I’m certain they expected us to keep the used plates for our main dishes, given the hesitation on our server’s part to clear the table of the used dishes. The silverware was popped into a basket on our table to begin with, like in a dishwasher rack. One person’s food has come out, the seven of us are waiting, and it’s been 15 minutes since the dish was brought out so we encouraged our daughter to eat while we wait. Napkins have been used up (also just stored in a basket on the table) we were able to retrieve more from a neighboring empty table. Now a second dish and naan has been delivered, but our kids are wondering where their noodles are. We’re told that they aren’t serving sandwiches/burgers tonight so our picky eater decided just not to order. Five more of us yet to find our meals… I’m able to write this review in the 45 minutes since we’ve ordered. Now…another dish has come out. But our children’s meals are still not served. They are waiting surprisingly patiently for their chicken noodles, but it looks like the kids will be served last. I’m sorely disappointed. I’m stunned. This really isn’t acceptable restaurant table service, and people should be warned that the experience has...
