Good Mexican food shouldn't be expensive; this restaurant isn't. It's a wonderful bargain for food; quality Mexican classics. It's on Pacific Avenue in Downtown Long Beach, walking distance to the Civic Plaza, Billy Jean King Library and courthouse. The downside is that they only accept cash for payment, although there is an ATM inside. They make excellent tacos, burritos, tortas and tostadas. I haven't tried their soups yet. You can order their burritos wet or dry, same price for either, and I never finish one without taking half of it home. Tortilla chips and salsa on the table before the meals, with the salsa being a red spicy sauce. Service is excellent and attentive. Consider getting the Jarritos soft drinks instead of the fountain sodas -- they don't filter the water, so you'll taste the bleach from the tap water used. There is parking in the back. in recommendation for when you visit long beach and you crave Mexican food?? Well let me tell you that I found something difficult to trust!! but once inside the place is 8 minutes from the Aquarius of long Beach ⛱️ .. which is a great advantage .. Secondly, a clean place, the menu with several options apart from offering the Daily Special .. Our waitress Paty is very efficient and cordial .. Super clean bathrooms ..... 👌 👍 and the moment of truth! the food, which we ordered tilapia al ajo. the place is small but very clean. and it seems visited by many regulars because the restaurant is full .. it is like a gem of food with Mexican flavor with homemade style !! which led me to do a review and recommend it to friends when they visit...

At first I was a little disappointed as this was cash only and in this day and age who carries cash. They don't have guacamole which I thought was a little odd but everything soon forgiven as the food was perfect. I had the chili relleno and although I like chili pasailla It came with an Anaheim chili and still tasted good. Food was super hot and warm. The shrimp tacos came out and had a garlic aroma to it which made my mouth water. This place has an old school feel which also comes with the cash price.
