After working there for over 7 months i have to say this family business is anything but friendly nor authentic to the italian American experience. They say that all of their product is made in-house. This is an outright falsehood. The dough from their pizza is shipped in frozen from a kitchen supplier called Angie's. This is naturally devoid of nutritional value and flavour. Their chicken wings are equally suspicious and awfully greasy. Don't even bother ordering the Italian sausage as this contains the toxic preservative known as MSG which i was horrified to find printed on the packaging label. Management there is both immature and wholly detached from the realities set upon their overworked underpaid employees. I was fired recently for asking why a fellow cashier was being charged the price of half a pizza. They recently upgraded their POS system to a faulty bug ridden mess that no one had been properly trained to utilize. It seemed to me criminal to penalize and harass your employees like this. This was not an isolated incident. The efforts my coworkers went through to serve the downtown long beach populace was consistently undermined by the management's crass, archaic and brutish treatment of its staff. These are good people being needlessly stressed and overworked for what amounts to overpriced food. I wished I had a better experience working at this pizzeria given how much potential the location and product has so offer for the people of Long Beach. Sadly that was not the case. Final word of warning: take extra scrutiny of the dish ware your food is being served upon if you dine in. Frequently management would demand the dishwashers to towel dry their plates and silverware which so happens to be a violation of safe California food...

Dine-in only review.

Been here several times and no matter what we ordered, was always satisfying and delicious. The crust is thin, chewy, just the right amount of crunch. We usually order off their NY specialty menu. Hells kitchen (aka hangover pizza), white pizza, margherita pizza (classic), the Italian pie pizza, and the red and white. Also have tried the sausage & mushroom calzone, this was a treat! This was a hefty, dumpling, filled with delicious goodness! I couldn't eat this by myself.

The decor definitely has that New york vibe, subway signs, with subway tiles, and various movies/tv with NY themes. They also got 3 TVs, they usually have some kind of game on or movie. There a parking structure near by, 2 hours free and there's metered parking out front.

I'm not familiar with NY pizza but I've heard that this is the closest it gets to "home'. Thank you for bringing NY style pizza to downtown Long...

I can't say enough about Milana's! I was coming from out of town for an event at the end of January with about 20 co-workers and had reserved a spot at another nearby pizza place, only to have the owner rudely cancel on me last minute. I quickly googled the area and found Milana's. Cameron saved the day. He happily accommodated our group and assured me it would go off without a hitch. When we arrived, we were greeted with a smiling and happy staff and the place was clean and fun. I let Cameron choose his favorite pizzas for us and oh my gosh, they were INCREDIBLE. Especially the white pizza! It was heaven! I definitely recommend this place. The pizza is seriously the best we've ever had and the service was awesome too. Thank you so much for saving the day! Next time we're in Long Beach, we'll definitely be stopping by for...

THE LONG BEACH PIZZA TOUR🍕 At first glance, Long Beach is not a city that conjures images of pizza. New Yorkers are hard-pressed to say that Los Angeles has any good pizza, much less Long Beach. However, the concept of pizza is much more than a floppy pepperoni and mozzarella experience.🧀 Ranging from Italian pizza such as Neapolitan go Roman, to the controversial Chicago deep dish, here’s a thorough — not comprehensive — list of some of my favorite pizza in the city.😋 [article in bio] 🍕in video: 1. Shocked they’re calling this NY pizza. It’s nothing close, thinner than flatbread. Ordered a chicken parm hero as well and it came with the sauce on the side? Barely any cheese? The dressing for the salad was just a container of olive oil. Greek salad had 2 ingredients, those of which were toppings for pizza. Not vegetables that would go in a salad. Customer before us ordered a beer and the employee was scooping out foam from the beer for 15 minutes, the keg machine must’ve been broken. Never told the customer just kept scooping. Super disappointed and will never be coming back to this place. Service was not friendly, manager told the employee to itemize the special we ordered, and never acknowledged us or even told us he was doing that. Had to find out on the receipt. Anyway, there’s better pizza in Long Beach. See pictures attached.

Came here on a whim, we wanted to check out another Pizza spot down the street. I have a 10 year old with me and "that place" was 21 and over even though I wasn't ordering any alcoholic beverage. So Milana's got our money, and it ended up being a pleasant surprise. Their Pizza was amazingly delicious. New York style where you can fold the slices to eat. I know no such thing as New York Pizza, when you are in New York it's just pizza. Anyway their service was great and very clean and organized. We ate our pizza outside in the patio area. It took about 15 minutes for it to be ready. Piping hot and fresh. The flavor here is on point and we'll be back for more.
