Camden properties have really went too far. Please see the pictures and ask yourself is that move in condition? This is what they expected my 20 year old son, and his first experience being on his own to live in. . This is what $4000 a month will get you at Camden Harbor View in Long Beach, California. Not only did they let him sign a lease, knowing that the property was absolutely filthy and uninhabitable, the rotten people working at the desk for the property management on the weekend took defense real quick and were real short with me when I was trying to explain and show them their property in depth with a few pictures I took. Then just one short day to cash the check so I wouldnât get it back to put towards another place. Not to mention the U-Haul was two days at a minimum over to due to their and two nights at a hotel because I wasnât about to put my property in that infestation pests cockroaches and whatever else was there unknown. I canât imagine if the corporate even cares the upper management of Camden need to figure that has some type of Dignity and respect to make this, right and immediately give my son back his deposit The entire deposit do you want to take two days off? Prorating him back whatâs left of the deposit? Can you believe this everybody knows Even a child knows that place is extremely filthy. Now I understand that itâs probably a few bad people or maybe just one bag person there who knows and Camden truly doesnât want their properties rented out like that especially on the first day of possession when itâs not even in movable or living condition however thatâs why Iâm reaching out here. Thatâs the day he took possession of the uninhabitable garden, do you know the third world country apartment, he was told that there would be a exterminator there at 9 AM and told him to to vacate the property, and had him sign something saying that he was OK with exterminator to make it, or give it a chance anyways, to make it right, however, they never showed up so not only did they deliver the absolute worst possible service in a total useless apartment, but they also lied on top of it to compound the horrific reality of being a total failure. And speaking of reality, I donât think Iâve ever taken a quicker deuce in my life then I did at that apartment.. I got off the toilet and in record time. My son is pretty shy, but Iâm not, so I thought it might be a good idea and two add a few of the neighbors if they had any unwanted visitors in the form of a pest or insect(s) one of the new neighbors that just moved in as my son did, had said no. I believe her however, she was only there for two hours, but I did ask everyone I came in contact with between The Apartments and the parking garage and they all said yes, there is an infestation. One of them suggested to take refuge in building number two as my son was in building number five and no sooner than that was said the manager approached my wife and son, and made that very same suggestion.    Read moreThe apartment was given to me in an unsanitary condition, and I became temporarily disabled due to illness. There was a black substance in the faucets, fixtures and/or drainage systems in the kitchen and master bath. I asked them to professionally clean it, and install a water filter that I purchased, and they said no to both. I submitted a claim, and they sent a discriminatory letter that implied they would disregard and be dismissive of anything I say, and would not resolve this in an amicable way; they would not compensate me for the harm, damage, or loss. It was disgusting. The staff entered my apartment under false pretenses, without notice, and when I was not home. When I first moved in I noticed things were missing, while requested services had not been completed, although they were reported as completed. 2020-2021, on a service request for the toilet the staff smeared faces on the wall. I reported there was a foul smelling liquid coming from the leaky ceiling in the guest bathroom in 2022, and they refused to do anything until May 2023. There are still 6' x 1' holes in the bathroom ceiling, for weeks now. I believe a staff member arranged to steal my vehicle from the residential parking garage, and the staff logged into my account to print parking passes, without my knowledge or permission, shortly after, my vehicle was stolen. The neighbors are noisy and nosey. Loud pounding and banging that rattle my apartment is almost a daily issue. The next door neighbor gave a false gossip statement to the government, and we have never even met, or had a conversation before; the neighbor's defamation caused me harm. I am so disgusted. My rent has been raised twice since I moved in, and I have been living here for two years and 10 months.
I believe I am being harassed, and subjected to unfair and unlawful housing practices. Camden Harbor View is trying to recover the money that was withheld by the Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach due to abatement, directly from me. We all received the notice of inspection, 1st failed inspection notice, 2nd failed inspection notice, and abatement notice, however, they are ignoring that process even occurred, and robbing me, and trying to collect the HUD portion of rent directly from me, against the law. Timmique Carter placed a Pay or Quit Notice on my door even though HACLB/HUD served them with the legal documents saying I only had to pay my tenant portion. They confiscated the balance that was in my tenant account; approximately $1,500.
Return my money to my account!
Also, I requested in writing in March to remove the parking fee from my account, since they stole my vehicle, and I was still charged for parking in May and June. Further, I was charged a late fee for rent in May when the records showed the rent was paid in full on the 3rd of the month; before the rent due date. You owe me for the inappropriately charged late fees, the inappropriately charged parking fees, and whatever money you took for me during the abatement.
These people contributed to the view that LA County people are evil zombies who abuse their jobs to hurt people, instead of learning and demonstrating self control and mental stability. I will be so happy when I can relocate away from this zone, and I hope God's wrath, and hell fire hit this place hard. I'll make friends elsewhere, because I am too disgusted by the lack of morals and lawlessness that has shown to be the norm of these Los Angeles County people. Homeless people roaming teenage terrorizing. Tennis.My Doctor suggested I move.I gotta talk to this letter which is legal.I can break my lease now.Let's all do the math Now they had a $2050 security deposit. I paid them a $1000 for July rent. And the rest of the security deposit goes to the rent. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out. It was proximately $2700, so there was like $300. That would cover the move at utilities left the place. They couldn't find a thing wrong but yet. They wanna double char the month of the phone. Rent in other words, I left on the 30th. They wanted to charge me for the 31st. Well, I've already paid that when I paid my $1000 and it's part of the security deposit so somehow they can't came up with. I should pay them a $1056 My response was pretty clear. I told them to print out what they sent me. Roll it up and stick it where the Sun don't shine. I will never pay them a dime. And if they pursue this and I can't believe they'd be stupid enough to do that. Because, after all I had a legal documenthen I will shoot them. For their sales manager opening up company emails that I sent and reading them at a party to strangers and other tenants. They have no idea who they're messing with.

You can read all the terrible reviews this is not a very safe place to live etcetera I now see that there is a review from Ariana King and Tim Carter work here leaving good reviews I guess they're trying to offset all the bad reviews but don't you think that's a little dishonest since you get paid from Camden and get concessions on rent.

The response to call and discuss this post is crazy!!! What is there to discuss. While I understand you do not want this in writing I believe in transparency.
Camden has had so much bad publicity in fact a few weeks ago a former Maintenance Worker was arrested....with all the problems here instead of more security measures that work etc., you opted to write a conflict of interest reviews.
With rats in the building you both live in (and photos have been shared with me) how on earth can you write what you did. Tim your team is you and the rest of the leasing staff you are part of the team.
Instead of replying I should talk to you about it how about doing the right thing and delete this bogus reviews - unfortunately, two decent reviews will not cancel out the stolen cars, the vandalism, the arson, the teens terrorizing the tenants, homeless people trying to break into apartments etc., your two reviews won't fix the problem, but shows the length Camden will go to to try to offset the horrific things that...
