The place is okay. I came for the combination lunch. It comes with 3 entrees of your choice (bbq pork, teriyaki chicken, spicy wings) fried rice, and chow mein.
For the price (10.50) it wasn't bad, but it was great. You get a nice portion of food.
Fried rice was kind of soggy, but it was okay. Nothing special about it. The chow mein had a slightly sweetness and also a mesquite flavor, probably because of the chicken, but it was good. The bbq pork was nothing great. It was chewy, dry and I wouldn't order it again. The chicken teriyaki was good. It had a nice char, great smokey flavor. Would order again. The spicy wings were good, albeit a tad bit salty but I would order them again.
If you are in the area and want to try, go here if you do not want to spend too much money and get a decent amount of okay food....
Read moreI have no idea about the Chinese side of the menu, but the West Indian items are mostly excellent.
The small items are large and the larges are unfinishable for most. The goat and chicken curries with rice and peas are first-rate, excellently spiced with flavors I'm not qualified to identify.
On the last visit it was difficult to miss out on the smoky coating of the jerk chicken but I wanted to expand my knowledge of all things jerk, so I went with the jerk pork. I've never seen this formulation before, using juicy Chinese-type roast pork, for a compelling item that you probably shouldn't...
