Station1640 — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Came here to support a friend. I definitely see potential in this place. I don't drink, but I'm always willing to spend to see my loved ones have a good time. But I did want to make known this because I regretfully didn't at the time. But I was so taken back by the young (& I only mention young bc they definitely looked & acted like it based on their mannerism compared to mature tenders behind the bar in my experience wayyyy different; tentative wise + communication). When serving drinks, I noticed both bar tenders grabbing limes + Cherries by their unwashed fingers/long finger nails after being on their phones or touching other things. It was cringy & at that moment, I had to laugh it off because I saw it shortening my visit to support my friend. But this is something I do hope to see improvement on bc I do plan on continuing to support my dear friend. Also, aside from the ladies behind the bar, the entrance staff weren't as welcoming. It felt very dry right at entering. I don't expect a red carpet & fireworks upon arrival, but a "hello, welcome.." & maybe a "you're welcome" after a 3rd "thank you" or even a smile could set the tone before walking in. I mean, people are paying a pretty decent entrance fee + expense for drinks. I could see me pulling up with more people if this changes. But unless it does, I probably would avoid it because some of my people are not as subtle when it comes to mannerisms/cleanliness when spending in places that you would expect to serve purpose. I see the vision, definitely have goals to be set/met + could use major improvement on the mission + value. Mind you, this is coming from people who traveled an hr + 2 hrs away. Best of luck to all who experience this place.

Oh & I rated 2 for food, it wasn't bad. But it was expensive for small portions for some simple hand/fast food. Drinks were also full of ice & expensive for mostly mixer + the smallest plastic cups.

C'Mon...

My organization has had many club events throughout the years around west LA, but last week my organization was hosted by Station 1640 and it was by far the worst club we've ever been hosted by. As I exited the club out of my own free will to get fresh air, a security guard thought I was intoxicated and was forcing me out of the club to wait in the area where the intoxicated people are seated outside. I told him I was fine and it was unnecessary, but then he began to lie and claim that he saw another security guard kick me out, which was completely false. I asked him to show me who supposedly kicked me out, but he had no answer. I called him out on his abuse of power and ironically, he proceeded to kick me out further outside the club. Shortly after I was let back in and danced for a couple minutes, I sat down and immediately the same security guard targeted my girlfriend and I and tried kicking me out for no reason. I asked him what the problem was and he gave no explanation and just grabbed and dragged me out of the club, giving me and my girlfriend cuts and bruises. Outside we asked him what his problem was and then unprofessionally called my girlfriend a b**. He also threatened us, repeating “don’t test me.” We violated no policies or rules, or even if we unknowingly did, received no warning or explanation to deserve this abuse. Another member of my organization asked the security guard what I did to get kicked out, and once again, that same security guard lied that I was sleeping. This was absolutely false again because I had just sat down for 3 seconds. I asked surrounding staff for the name of this unprofessional security guard, but no one would cooperate and give me his name. I have also tried calling both the club and the manager numerous times throughout the week and have not been able to communicate with anyone. Horrible service, would not ever...

I’m currently at this location, the manager Renata is V E R Y rude. I waited over 45 minutes for T H R E E shrimp tacos that cost $15.95 in which people at my section received their order first. This ignorant lady was being so rude and under the influence I’m still sober enough to try to have an adult conversation with her and she’s still giving me attitude, I asked whose above her pay grade she said no one she is the manager. I will be contacting the owner.

Currently my first time back here since I last left this nasty rea free drink and I was so bothered by the manager that I never came back and I see why! This establishment deserves 1/5, the 3.8/5 they have is being generous but let’s be honest it’s not a 4/5 or 5/5 this place SUCKKKKKKK!! I am done! They will N E V E R see me here again. So unprofessional it’s ridiculous. I really don’t want to pull the race card because that’s tired but I am an African American woman and I noticed the promoter, who was wearing a blue suede/corduroy SnapBack with a great suite and Jordan 1s was only letting certain people in. Which was a group apart of vibe which I’m sure was partnered with the event but I also seen him hanging out wrist bands allowing random people who was just randomly walking by to basically jump in front of the people who had already been standing in line AND.
