Jin China Bistro — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Located on second floor. First time, I ordered #6 Famous Mongolian w/ white chicken meat lunch special. I was greeted by a gentleman asking how I was and if I was ready. After reviewing the sign outside I asked for#6. He got a menu and confirmed my request. I paid and waited for about ten minutes (although I may be exaggerating).

Nearly packed I asked about the soup to go that usually accompanies the lunch. The server said because dine in is closed their is no soup but was substituted an egg roll. I was expecting the soup but these are different times.

Once back at my desk I opened the bag with a calm but excited demeanor. I reviewed everything that I paid $13. I was a bit disappointed(by the size) but my opinion quickly changed with the taste. I ate the salad first, followed by the Mongolian chicken. In between the chicken I ate the egg roll.

All in all, I was satisfied with lunch. I don't feel full, just right. Would I return? I...

I was really craving veggie egg rolls. So I decided to try Jin China Bistro. I was not disappointed. They were fresh and perfectly crunchy on the outside and the cabbage and carrot were crunchy on the inside. That and some sweet and sour with hot mustard……well I wish I’d bought more. I also ordered my favorite hot and sour soup. I have to say it was extraordinary. I had to add some chili because I like my soup spicy but other than that I couldn’t put it down. The dried fungus made it especially delicious and extremely healthy. I’m a bit of a foodie and you can tell a lot about a restaurant by its egg rolls and soup and I will definitely be going back to Jin China Bistro! It is also very beautiful and the perfect place for a date. The food with the ambience and friendly service makes this a 5 star restaurant...

This is honestly one of my Go-To spots when craving Traditional Chinese Food! Everything is fresh and cooked to order, the interior layout is very comforting. Every time you sit down they are kind and bring over a small wonton salad and cup of water while they prep your order, definitely recommend the Kung Pao Chicken Bowl for it comes fully loaded with chicken and veggies with the right amount of spice. (they can lower the heat just be sure to ask ahead of time) Dish pairs well with their Passion Fruit Green Tea for it's refreshing and not on the sweet side.
