Not only was King Chang recognized by Eater LA as a must-try Korean BBQ spot, but they also have locations in Buena Park and Koreatown! The quality and value here are unbeatable! 💯
1️⃣ Amazing Value Set Menus They offer a variety of set menus, but my favorite is the Couple Combo ($80), which includes three types of meat (beef brisket, pork belly, marinated beef), a side dish platter, sweet potato pancake, steamed egg, tofu soup, and cheese fondue! The portion is generous—definitely enough to make two people super full! 😋
2️⃣ Cheese Dipping Sauce A must-try! Dip your grilled meat into the cheese fondue for an instant boost of happiness! 🧀 If you’re not a cheese fan, they also offer a variety of dipping sauces and salts, so you’ll never get bored of the flavors!
3️⃣ Incredible Meat Quality The pork belly is crispy on the outside and tender inside, the beef brisket is juicy and fresh, but the highlight for me is their marinated beef (Bulgogi)! It’s tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned—absolutely delicious! 🤤
4️⃣ Beef Intestines & Tripe I tried the beef large intestine and tripe (not grilled but pre-cooked). The large intestine was rich and flavorful, though a bit too fatty for my taste (my friend loved it so much she ordered two plates! 🤣). The tripe, on the other hand, had a chewy texture and was super flavorful—definitely my favorite! I’ll try the small intestine next time!
5️⃣ Delicious Korean Side Dishes Besides BBQ, they offer tons of Korean street food! The spicy chicken feet with rice balls is a must-try—spicy, flavorful, and satisfying! 🍙
💡 Tips: • This is not an all-you-can-eat spot, but their portions are big enough for 3-4 people to share at a similar price to AYCE. • The servers grill the meat for you, ensuring perfect doneness—no worries about burning your food! • Parking options: Street parking or $4 valet.

Read more🤔 I wasn’t really interested in beef intestines at first, but my friend recommended them, so I decided to give them a try. Surprisingly delicious—I’d come back for them again and again!
🍖 The beef intestines might look a bit greasy, but the texture is amazing! They have a nice chewiness and are super satisfying to eat. We didn’t order a combo, just a single serving of beef intestines. After they’re grilled, you can leave them on the grill a little longer to reduce the oil and make them crispier. If you prefer a softer texture, you can eat them right away!
🥩 Besides the beef intestines, we also ordered the beef combo, which included beef brisket, boneless short rib, and our choice of seasoned short rib. The marinated meat was tender and flavorful. The staff grilled the meat for us, and they were very professional! There were plenty of dipping sauces, but since the meat was so fresh, just dipping it in salt was already a great choice! The combo also came with a soup option—we picked the spicy kimchi soup, which had a rich, thick broth and soft, stewed potatoes.
🥗 The side dishes were plentiful and refreshing! There was a big bowl of fresh salad, bean sprouts, and onions—great for balancing the richness of the meat. One standout side dish was the stir-fried mushrooms with meat, which tasted just like a comforting homemade dish! 🍄
🍚 We also ordered the squid fried rice, which was super flavorful. It even had crispy rice bits at the bottom, and we scraped up every last bite!
☀️ The restaurant had a spacious and cozy Korean-style ambiance, with K-pop music videos playing in the background. It was packed with Korean customers, and I heard that many Korean celebrities have dined here as well.

Read moreI visited this restaurant after seeing tons of positive reviews online, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst dining experience I had during my trip to Los Angeles. Definitely overhyped and not worth the attention.😓😓 First of all, they forced us to pay an 18% tip, and literally wouldn’t let us leave without paying it. I was shocked by this. We mostly grilled the meat ourselves, and service was minimal at best. At checkout, a staff member even followed us to the door, demanding the tip. I told them I only had large bills, and they still insisted we must pay the exact amount in cash or use a card — but either way, “you must pay,” they said. It felt extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate 😠.
Second, the food was far below expectations. The beef intestine was nearly impossible to chew and had a strong unpleasant taste 🤢. The seafood pancake tasted more like a plain scallion pancake, and the spicy soup had soggy, overcooked potatoes. Nothing we ordered matched the hype we saw online.
Afterward, I checked the reviews again and noticed several other people had similar experiences with the forced tipping. So it’s clearly not a one-time issue.
As a traveler, I respect cultural differences — but this was not that. It felt more like being pressured and taken advantage of, which is something I’ve never encountered even after years living in New York. This so-called “trendy hotspot” is nothing more than a social media illusion. ❌ I will never return, and I do not recommend this...
