I have gone to Tacos Por Favor many times and the last two times have been the worst. The food is decent but the staff is just careless. About a month ago I called in to pick up lunch on my lunch break from work. The man who took my order wrote down the wrong thing. Mistakes happen and I took the wrong item but when I told the cashier that that wasn't what I ordered she rolled her eyes and said "I hate when they hire people from a different country." That alone made me so uncomfortable. I know one employee doesn't represent the whole establishment so I decided to order for a pick up order yesterday. I picked up two orders. One for my friend and another for myself. That same cashier from my last visit was helping me. She is one of the most unwelcoming people I have ever met. I asked if she could put the two orders together so I can make one transaction. She just said no. I made the two transactions and after the second she told me I didn't pay. I told her I had already did and she rudely said no that was your other order. I simply thought the machine didn't take it so I did it again. She charged me for the same order twice. I go back to work to eat during the remainder of my lunch break, when I open the box, it was a completely different order!! I order 3 hardshell tacos that had shrimp and fish! It was 25 dollars and some change and all they gave me was a tostada with carne asada! The bag with my order even had my receipt with the correct order and somehow I still got the wrong thing. I went back to the restaurant and that cashier did not want to speak to me or acknowledge me! I honestly am so angry, I wasted my lunch break going back and forth. I will never...
Read moreWriting this at 2:22 am as I sit over the toilet sick with food poisoning, vomiting. Got tacos al pastor, extremely greasy, by far the most disgusting tacos I have ever eaten. I should not have eaten them but I kept thinking it was all in my head. The agua Fresca was not good, I got hibiscus and it was bland and watered down. Would not recommend this place. Tacos are about the easiest things to prepare and if they can’t even make a clean, decent taco then that’s all I need to know the rest of the food will be terrible. I thought the place looked dingy and dirty but I was trying to be open minded, big mistake. How disappointing and infuriating to charge $4 per taco, only to get disgusting greasy meat with stale, hard tortillas. Truly unbelievable that they can feed this...
Read moreTacos Por Favor is a mediocre neighborhood Mexican restaurant. The inside is somewhat rundown and out of touch with the times. Lines are long due to Google and other tech companies being around the area. It takes far too long to get an average meal (15 minutes to make a burrito!?), even when it's placed "to-go." I've found that most food trucks in the area offer higher quality ingredients at a far better price than this restaurant. I would say that the burritos are half the size and quality from Chipotle at almost $2 more. Cheese is extra money. The taste is mediocre and most meats come out overcooked and lacking flavor. Overall the only reason I keep coming back is because it's the only Mexican place in the neighborhood. I wish there were more options so I could avoid...
