Turn Dough - Ice Cream, Chimney Cake Donut Cones, Milkshakes Venice — Restaurant in Los Angeles

We were visiting the area and looking for some ice cream. We found this after spending the day at the Santa Monica pier. It was easy to find and near the skate park at Venice Beach. Good location to watch the awesome skaters and view the gorgeous sunset.

We ordered a vanilla shake for our son, and my husband and I shared a Nutella Dream. The service was great - the young woman at the window provided her recommendations and set expectations that it would be about 10 mins as I think the cone was made fresh.

Overall, it was fine. It was pretty and Instagramable. It fulfilled the ice cream craving, and nothing is ever wrong with Nutella. I will say that given the price and the selling point is the cone, it was a bit overpriced as the cone was just ok for me. I think I wanted it to be a bit sweeter - almost a dessert that stood on its own since you can get to the bottom and only the cone is what is remaining. It was also pretty challenging to eat and got a little messy, but no points knocked for that. So, of course, I took a photo. Between my husband and I, we mostly finished it. Would I buy it again?...

Extremely stingy with Nutella… Since i live at Hollywood in my neighborhood we have Turn Dough, I coming there every 10-15 days and i love it, but at this location ( Santa Monica) this was horrible experience… I was with friend and i was beyond the happy to make some waffles for us, but when I ordered ones with Nutella that was literally ice cream ( without any taste ) cream and some candies for decoration, when I asked a girl is this with Nutella, she answered you have Nutella inside, I was so mad that I didn’t even eat that and give to some homeless woman, IN HOLLYWOOD LOCATION you have waffle sandwich with 2 waffles and on the top of them both they put NUTELLA, in this case I didn’t find Nutella so i just spent $35 for something that i could buy in...

Today I stopped in so I could give you a real authentic review.

You allowed me to ask multiple questions and explained everything as far as y’all make the cinnamon cones fresh to order. Which does cause a bit of a delay.

Today I ordered the Artistan Freshly Baked Cinnamon Cone the Lemon option and gave it an add on :)

My order consisted of: Lemon Curd Graham Crackers Sea Salt Carmel Raspberry And I added Matcha Drizzle and it comes with a lemon Oreo!!!!

I’m so excited also you get a number to ensure that you are the one picking up your order.

This was a once in a lifetime experience and definitely without a doubt worth the 7-10...
