This was our first tasting stop in our visit to Bourbon country, as most places didn't open during the week until ~4pm. We walked in and were greeted immediately by Steven. He was incredibly helpful and friendly, offered lots of advice for us on our journey, and talked us through some tastings of "Kentucky Only" bottles.
We sampled various bourbons, as well as a few different old fashioned ( Try the Rye Old Fashioned - it was exceptional ). We had the opportunity to sample a Doorknocker Single Barrel, and an Ingram and Green River store pick. All very different - and delicious in their own rights.
We liked this place so much we stopped in again another day for some cocktails, the staff was just as friendly. They also offer wine tastings here, and it looks like they've got a great selection for tasting or just for sipping on cocktails. Would recommend this as a stop to anyone in downtown Louisville for an opportunity to cool off and relax with some water and a cocktail, or taste a wide variety of bourbons or wine and get some good...
Read moreWonderful wine and whisky bar! I’ve been here on several occasions when I’m passing through Louisville. Incredible selection of bourbon, rye’s and whiskeys, many of which are unique and difficult to find. They offer individual servings, flights and bottles for take home. In addition to the whisky the owners have carefully selected a wide variety of wines from various regions, most all of which are not found in your local grocery or liquor store. The owners and staff are extremely knowledgeable of the products they carry and are happy to share and educate you on your spirit of your choosing. If you need a beer, they have a few of those as well. Had a little to much to drink and need a place to stay?! They have a classy little space above the whisky bar you can rent.
A must visit spot next time you pass...
Read moreThis is such a little gem of a place! When you walk in, you're greeted by a wall of wine and bourbons, and a variety of comfy seating. The owner were kind and helpful, and just an absolute delight. My partner and I ended up hanging out with two people we had randomly met there and did not realize we had kept them well past their closing on a Sunday! They were so gracious about it. We had two bourbon flights, and their Rabbit Hole Rye Old Fashioned, which was absolutely fantastic. Do not miss out on this place - we happened upon it when other distilleries were closed on Sunday, but it ended up being out favorite stop of the weekend. We will definitely be back on each future Louisville visit, and have already recommended...
