My experience was terrible. I dined in with my fiancé on her birthday, trying to celebrate and Boy did I regret it. The decor and overall appearance was deceiving sat down, looked at the menu, realized that the prices were typical Mackinaw prices over priced for what you’re getting We weren’t a high ticket and you could tell that the waiter knew that he took our order. We received the food after digging found that the $21 burger that we paid for were frozen patties probably from a box And the chips that I assumed were going to be homemade for that price were clearly out of a bag and the burgers were so greasy that the buns fell apart before we could eat My fiancé, barely Could Finish even half before it was not edible. We had to flag down another waitress to bring us napkins and refill our waters. The last time that we saw our waiter was for the check tried to get someone’s attention to get a manager had to flag down another waitress spoke with the manager and her first question was, did you try to tell anybody about the food? I responded with I would’ve tried if our waiter stopped in but again We only got to see him twice. I was extremely dissatisfied with the service and something that I never do. I left without a tip because he did not deserve to work there after getting home from our trip Checked my credit card statement and found that he left himself a six dollar tip even though I put clear as day zero and the total for the dinner call them Monday morning to try to resolve it and still haven’t heard back she Said she would be getting back to me, but I don’t think that’s gonna be happening. would not recommend there are much better options...
Read moreThe food was fine but the waiter Shawn (or Sean?) was absolutely insane. When he was checking our IDs for drinks he first asked my wife "mask off" in a very rude way without even saying "please", and then he asked "is this your ID? What is your age on the ID?" and was refusing to even look at our IDs. I thought he was joking so I said "you can check by yourself" when he asked "is this your ID", but he didn't seem to be getting my joke, and became very serious and asked again "is this your ID?" I was very confused and insisted that he could check by himself. He then skipped me, and asked everyone else in our group the same questions without even looking at any of our IDs. He then came to me again and asked "would you still like a cocktail sir?" as if I was a kid doing something wrong. I didn't want to ruin the dinner since it was our friends' anniversary so I gave him the answer he wanted. This was absolutely humiliating and is something that I could never imagine to experience when I am dinning in a restaurant. Having a waiter trying to establish dominance over me at dinner is the most rediculous thing I've experienced. Also I highly doubt if he could actually read since he refused to even look at our IDs. The only thing I could do was to give a very low tip, but honestly I didn't want to give...
Read moreWent here for lunch on a Saturday, waitstaff and food were great. Come Monday, after leaving the island, I realized I accidently left my debit card in the receipt-book at the restaurant. I called and talked to a Manager and they said they would mail the card to me, took my name and address. I was very grateful as I was leaving for another trip and asked if it could be overnighted and that they could use my card to pay for that. The manager told me they would have to check with their "shipping department". I've worked in bars for twenty years and never heard of that. I asked for a call back with confirmation that it was in the mail. A week later, no card in the mail, no phone call. I call the restaurant back. After ten times of it just ringing and ringing, I tried calling on my husbands phone and it went right through. That's right, THEY BLOCKED MY NUMBER!! Talked to a second "manager" and was promised the same thing, they would talk to their "shipping department" and call me with confirmation. Once again never happened. Plain and simple, just tell people you won't mail their belongings back to them. Don't make empty promises and then block a number! Very unprofessional "managers" at this...
