It was the perfect medium. It wasn't too scary, and it wasn't too cheesy. It was just right. I loved some of the displays too!
I like haunted houses, and I loved to get startled, but I don't like the haunts that intentionally try to trigger a person's phobias. This was the perfect medium, where I felt the suspense and I jumped a few times, and I could feel the adrenaline rush, but I never pushed into a phobia fear.
Those who love to be terrified may not feel this haunt is scary enough, but for those of us who just enjoy suspense and appreciate the historical aspects of the overall decor, it is a good stop.
And If I had small children, I'm sure they would have felt it was very scary. 😊
Please don't take me calling it "medium" as a negative. I gave you 5 stars, which as you can see from my other reviews, I rarely do. It's ok to be medium.

We went there today because we are all about haunted houses, etc. This had to be the worse waste of money I have spent in a long time. I dont think I would go back thru it again for free. We asked if there were jump scares etc. Oh yes, for sure. Yeah right. There were none. It was actually boring. All there was were antique looking displays behind glass. We are shocked on how ridiculous it was. Then some old guy in the end told us it was time to go. Like we were doing something wrong. Im sure the only reason he stays in business is because new people that come to the island who dont know any different go there thinking it's gonna be great. MY GOSH, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! The staff is a joke and very unprofessional and the actual haunt, if that is what you want to call it, is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. What an absolute joke all around. Save...

Mix cheesy (& creepy!) Mid & late 20th century horror with a haunted-house vibe & you get this place! Locally owned& operated, you experience classic visuals in a mostly pitch-black environment. There are whispers, puffs of air, and a few surprise jump-scares! I read the reviews beforehand and told my wife we had to do it. She didn't know anything about it and mostly humored me until the whispers and darkness started, then she genuinely got freaked while laughing hysterically. We both had a great time.
